L’Oréal Professional have relaunched their iconic Majirel colour range, and it’s had some brilliant updates we know you’re all going to love.
Majirel has been a firm favourite for years. It’s known for its rich, even colour, 100% grey coverage, and gorgeous, long-lasting results. But don’t worry, that hasn’t changed. It’s had a few clever tweaks; the formula is now even better for both Hair Colourists and clients starting with something huge - it’s now vegan!

Majirel is now made with a vegan formula, with no animal derived ingredients. This is a much needed but thoughtful touch that doesn’t compromise on quality or performance and there are still over 140 shades to choose from.

It also has much less odour, which is one of the most noticeable updates. Promoted as a new Odour Trapping Technology, the colour now has up to 2x less ammonia smell. If you’ve ever found the scent of hair colour a bit strong, this is a real game changer.
The new formula is also creamier and easier to mix, making it quicker to apply and even more comfortable for you in the chair. It’s a win-win for your team and your hair.
L’Oréal have kept everything that made Majirel a favourite including the vibrant shades, brilliant coverage, and even colour from root to tip. Some tones have been very subtly updated for a more modern feel, but you’ll still recognise your signature look or be impressed by the change if you choose to make one.
They’ve also added some lovely caring ingredients, like Candelilla Wax and Cetearyl Alcohol, to help keep your hair feeling soft and shiny post-colour. It can leave hair up to 3x softer than before which is incredible.
