FCS are now an approved contractor on the Interim Measures Alarm Fund (IMAF).
The IMAF was launched on April 1st, 2026, and is a government backed scheme, provides government funding, and is managed and delivered by Homes England. It supports residential properties that require fire alarm system installations where fire safety risks have been identified.
The IMAF provides opportunites to:
•Replace waking watch with a funded alarm system
•Improve safety and compliance
•Reduce long-term operational costs
Who can access the fund?
Eligibility depends on several factors, including:
•The type and height of the building
•The nature of fire safety deficiencies
•Current interim measures in place
The scheme replaces the Waking Watch Relief Fund and is designed to help building owners and managing agents move away from costly, short-term measures.
Because the scheme is structured and criteria-led, early assessment is key.
