It’s now been a whole decade since Skylarkeology first took to the wing. In that time Steve, Amanda and Maggi have completed four large-scale Aerial Investigation and Mapping projects. In ten years we have individually viewed and assessed a couple of hundred thousand aerial photographs and lidar images. Our end-of-project reports for Bedford Borough, East Cambridgeshire, North Buckinghamshire and Aylesbury Vale are all now available for download through Historic England’s Research Report Series webpages (https://historicengland.org.uk/research/results/reports/) . The report for our current project in Huntingdonshire will be published in the New Year of 2027. All our digital mapping can be viewed and interrogated via Historic England’s Aerial Archaeology Mapping Explorer (https://historicengland.org.uk/research/results/aerial-archaeology-mapping-explorer/). May Skylarkeology continue to soar through a second decade.
