💜💗🩶 BLACKPOOL — 76TH SEQUENCE FESTIVAL 🩶💗💜

✨ ADAM & PAIGE — STYLE, CONTROL & A LITTLE CHEEK! ✨

Fabulous results for this wonderful couple! 👏

🏆 Winners — Pre-Champ Latin Sequence Competition
🥈 Runners-up — Pre-Champ Modern Sequence Competition (DNL)
🥈 Runners-up — Under 35s Pre-Champ Classical Sequence Competition (DNL)
🏅 4th — Adult Blackpool Ultimate Challenge

Beautifully attired, with superb control and a style that makes you want to keep watching. Their fun, cheeky personalities come through in their dancing, and they are such a joy to watch! ✨

The improvement hasn’t happened by chance. Adam & Paige consistently work hard, listen and put that work into practice — and it shows on the floor.

But just as lovely is their approach to each other, their fellow competitors and me as their coach. Hardworking, considerate and truly nice people. That deserves recognition too. 💜

So proud of your progress and everything you brought to this festival. Well done, you two! 💜💗🩶

💜💗🩶 BLACKPOOL — 76TH SEQUENCE FESTIVAL 🩶💗💜

✨ KATRINA & JANE — WHAT A DEBUT! ✨

Having only formed their partnership just after Easter, Katrina & Jane took on their first competition at their very first Blackpool Sequence Festival — and look what they achieved! 👏

🏅 4th — British Senior Classical Sequence Championship (DNL)
🥉 3rd — All Ladies Classical Sequence Competition

The nerves were certainly there, but these ladies stepped onto the floor with style and elegance and produced some lovely dancing.

This partnership, working alongside Kären Byron, has come such a long way in a short time. I’m super proud of what you’ve achieved together — what a way to begin your competitive journey!

Well done, ladies. Plenty to build on, and we’re only getting started! 💜💗🩶

💜💗🩶 BLACKPOOL — 76TH SEQUENCE FESTIVAL 🩶💗💜

✨ WILLIAM & HOPE — LOOK HOW FAR YOU’VE COME! ✨

Not even a year in the Amateur ranks, and the improvement from William & Hope has been phenomenal — and it’s lovely to know others are seeing it too!

Thank you to the professionals and audience members who took the time to approach me and say how well this couple are looking and progressing. Those comments meant a great deal. 💜

They missed out on a recall to the Sequence final, but earned their place in the Classical final — a real achievement and a moment that showed they belong in the Amateur ranks in their own right. 👏

And another success for Hope’s mum, who made her beautiful dress. What a lady — so much work behind that lovely floor appearance! ✨

Still plenty to work on, but wow, you two — I’m really impressed. Let’s keep building on this! 💜💗🩶

💜💗🩶 BLACKPOOL — 76TH SEQUENCE FESTIVAL 🩶💗💜

✨ NOW IT’S THE ADULTS’ TURN! ✨

One of the things that makes this festival so special is having our children and adults there together. Sharing the floor, supporting each other and celebrating everyone’s progress — it makes the whole experience even better.

We had three wonderful couples representing LaDanZa: Adam & Paige, William & Hope, and our brand-new ladies’ partnership, Katrina & Jane! 👏

Each has their own story, their own challenges and plenty to take away from this festival. This photo brings them all together before we give each couple their own moment and share a little of their dance journey.

Lots to be proud of — and plenty to tell you! 💜💗🩶

💜💗🩶 BLACKPOOL — 76TH SEQUENCE FESTIVAL 🩶💗💜

✨ HAIDEE — OUR PRINCESA ESPAÑOLA! 👑

Her second Blackpool Sequence Festival, and the difference from last year is just awesome! Such a lovely girl, and seeing how much stronger and more assured her dancing has become was a real highlight. 👏

Foot placement has been a big focus for Haidee, so to see those improvements coming through on the floor — stronger footwork, longer heel leads and more confidence in her movement — was fantastic. The work is showing!

And those fabulous new Latin and Ballroom dresses! Mum has worked tirelessly to create them, and they deserve a huge round of applause. Thank you also to the Tracey Welsh team for her comfortable, supportive new shoes. ✨

Haidee, you’ve made phenomenal progress. Let’s keep pushing, my young Spanish princess — there’s so much more to come! 💜💗🩶

76TH SEQUENCE FESTIVAL 🩶💗💜

✨ FREYA — A BIRTHDAY TO REMEMBER! ✨

Only her second time dancing at Blackpool, and her first as a Junior — what an occasion for Freya! ✨

And it was her birthday weekend! Her birthday wish? To come to Blackpool with her family and dance at this festival. That says so much about how much she loves her dancing — and made the weekend something very special. 🎂💜

A little overwhelmed by the event, but she loved the preparation and the chance to take to that famous floor. Nobody works harder than Freya, and it was lovely to see her embracing this next stage of her dancing.

What a fantastic festival you had, Freya. It opened your eyes to what’s needed, what you’re capable of and what we can work towards together.

Plenty to take back to the studio — and knowing you, you’ll be ready to get stuck in! 👏💜💗🩶

💜💗🩶
A little later than planned 🙈 but it’s time for our Blackpool catch-up! ✨

Between jet lag, a few injuries and not quite firing on all cylinders, I think parts of me were still in Singapore while the rest were unpacking from Blackpool! 😂

My first full week back at work, and finally a chance to share this amazing 76th festival with you all. It’s given me time to reflect and enjoy the wonderful memories it’s left me with.

There’s plenty to report, and each dancer deserves their own moment. First up… Freya! 💜💗🩶

👉 GOLDEN RULE No. 12

We want high standards — but chasing perfection can sometimes stop us from actually dancing…

CHASE QUALITY, NOT PERFECTION

👇 Aim high. Dance free.

💡 Remember…
Strive to be better, keep pushing the quality — but don’t become afraid to make a mistake.

🏆 Champions aim high without losing the freedom to perform.

Back from Blackpool… and could somebody please tell me what day it is?! 😂🕰️

If Singapore hadn’t already confused my body clock, the 76th Sequence Festival has certainly finished the job! 🇸🇬✨

You know you’ve had a proper Blackpool night when you’ve stood for the King, Nick Miles wishes everyone “good morning”… and you realise you’ve been in the ballroom since the day before! 😂 Clearly, time is measured in dances at the Winter Gardens! 💃🕺

What a phenomenal festival in the beautiful Empress Ballroom! The standard of dancing, the atmosphere, the support — I loved every moment. Congratulations to everyone who took to that famous floor! 👏✨

Huge thanks to Natalie Hayes and her team for organising such a wonderful event and inviting me to judge on Saturday, the first day of the festival. Thank you to my fellow judges for your amazing company — you made the day even more enjoyable. 💜

Nick Miles was brilliant on the microphone, keeping us all going! And what wonderful music from Jack Hoppley, Elizabeth Harrison and the Empress Orchestra under Ashley Frohlick. 🎶

So much has happened while I’ve been away, and we have LOADS to catch up on! Once I’ve worked out whether it’s breakfast or bedtime, I’ll get started… ☕😂
