In other news, our kiln has just finished, and we have some beautiful Yew boards (pictured), as well as some Oak and Ash available from this load.

A customer needed a replacement wooden block to mount their sculpture on. We were able to supply a block of Scottish Larch, cut to the desired dimensions.

Our firewood processor has been working hard the last couple of months getting our stock for next winter ready. It was all too much yesterday!!
Luckily was able to effect a quick repair on very short notice and we are back up and running!!

We have seen more and more people working in forestry who own dogs.

A lot of these dogs are working breeds such as spaniels and collies.

As such, we have decided to branch out, and starting from today, we shall be offering chainsaw courses for dogs.

You can see Ross’s dog Cedar here demonstrating as we practice the course making sure everything is perfect for your pooch.

Free Give away!!
Bags of Hardwood kindling/small logs. Large enough to produce good embers for toasting marshmallows or making hot chocolate, small enough not to burn for too long when you have limited time.
Equally suitable for small camp fires, fire pits or even Kelly kettles.

We have 3 net bags to give away to any local educational, youth or community group that is tagged or mentioned in the comments below.
We'll select three winners at random on Friday the 27th March. The winner will have collect from our yard so please keep it local (Broxburn, Livingston, Uphall, Winchburgh, Kirkliston, South Queensferry etc.)
If a selected winner is unable to collect we will select another from the comments.

A lovely (if chilly) evening tonight. Perfect for a toasted marshmallow. Using some of our wonky wood in a smokeless fire pit!
