This beautiful little man came to visit this week …having known his Mummy for over 20 years, it is just such a privilege to be asked to care for her own baby …to have cuddles with him at just 10 weeks old was so beautiful and I’m so looking forward to welcoming Reuben into the SweetPeas Family in the Summer of 2027 ! ❤️💙❤️

September 2022…August 2026
the first week of care for this little boy who has come so far on his learning journey . And this little lady has been the very best friend to Oscar every step of the way ! What a beautiful friendship they made, even though there is a school year between them, they have such a beautiful bond, a friendship that echoes every sentiment I could wish for between children who share their care at Sweet Peas. Their mutual understanding and respect for each other has grown with then in the 4 years they have shared together as friends…this friendship has certainly supported both of these beautiful children to find their confidence, have a voice and know their own mind, and to champion each other for their uniqueness and individualism…as we said farewell to Oscar today, it’s not goodbye as we still look forward to coming back together in school holidays and to follow the next chapter …continue to be the amazing little boy you are 💙

A wonderful day taking 5 on the train to London to the Shrek Adventure …my last working day of this academic year as I sign off another Summer holiday of care for my wonderful children …but today I witnessed first hand the essence of what I strive to bring to all my amazing children …showing thoughtfulness, empathy and such kindness when one child knows another doesn’t have enough spending money for her to get what she really would like in the gift shop … and he opts to use his own money to buy the gift she really wants and to give this to her ….

My heart absolutely melted …❤️❤️❤️

Welcoming a new mini theme for the summer holidays and tapping into the children’s love of the seaside…

Water play with under the sea creatures, rhyming and story books all with a theme of the beach…great fun with new vocabulary explored through picture books and our sea creatures inspiring inquisitively through play …great to see how the children created sea scapes and an ocean in a jar ‘ 🌊🐳

Following our Summer Garden Theme, we have been looking a little deeper at this wonderful little creature …the ladybird. Today we explored our ladybird tower and re-presented these interesting creatures using paper and card, counting spots and drawing faces …so good to see each child have individually and to champion, support and encourage every child for their uniqueness ❤️🐞

Home made Dandelion Honey…
Celebrating and the
Supporting the children to harvest 200 dandelions to the process of creating this gorgeous treat and tasting it on toast …what better way than learning through play as the children see the beauty of the world around them and how this can be captured in such a lovely opportunity.
Decorating the mini honey pots with yellow painted finger prints turned into bees gave the children a chance to share not only their homemade honey with their family but the journey they enjoyed to create this 🍯
