Ray Spooner from Spooner Mentoring gave us an insight into his multi-decade business journey which has led him to running both a woodwork school and a business mentoring practice. Ray offers a business owners apprenticeship, a business performance programme and pay as you go business advice. If you know a business owner who feels stuck or wants to make more profit, Ray is the person to introduce them to.

Jon Cade from NFU Mutual reminded us why mutual companies still matter. NFU Mutual is owned by its members not shareholders, which means a personal local service and fair claims. If you’re a business owner who wants insurance from someone who actually knows your name, Jon is your man.

Tom Cussell from Pause Productions talked through their personal and collaborative approach to video production and showcased their broad range of projects across sports turf, retail, farming and construction. Tom put a real emphasis on profitability and shared a case study where a farm now has a profitable media side to their business thanks to the millions of views they generated on YouTube. That’s video production that doesn’t just look good, it pays for itself.

Jake Gibbs from Nettl Cambridge celebrated their 10 year anniversary and walked us through their stunning websites across pretty much every industry. Jake also made a great point that websites can’t just sit still and always need a refresh, even if nothing’s changed over 5 or 10 years. If your website hasn’t had any love in a while, Jake is the person to call.
