Not all crane operators sit in their cab all day, as an owner operator I like to get stuck in and help out to try and make the job run smoothly and safely. Yesterday I put my back into it, to make sure the customers caravan remained damage free.

Early start this morning, but what follows an early start ? Early Finish đź‘Ť back home by 9am.

A trip back to mylor yacht harbour this morning, for a 7am splash đź’¦ of this 11T boat we pulled out last Friday.

The boat was lifted out for a hull repair over the weekend.

Last Thursday saw us take a little trip across the border into Devon.

Working for a valued customer DC21, we removed an old hub and shaft assembly, and then carefully a bit like threading an oversized needle, the shaft has to go through the gearbox and back into place.

As always a great bunch to work with, and got me back on the road as soon as possible.

On the way home stopped at Cornwall Services for a coffee and cake, then got a call to go United Downs to load a boat onto transport and follow it to Newlyn to launch it.

Parked up in Helston last night, so nice and close to this mornings job up on Water ma trout ind est, to load on to transport, what was once,someone’s pride and joy.
Today the boat made its final journey to Truro recycling.
Once unloaded it was on to the next job down in Penzance to erect new lights at Longrock bus depo.

3 Caravan Friday

This morning we headed over to Watergate Bay to a caravan park, to load a 38x12 onto tonyolivertransport relocating it St Austell way.
We then headed back to Falmouth to lift out a 28x10 and put back the 37x12 we lifted in Gweek on Monday.

First job yesterday was a trip down to River Boatyard Ltd, riverboatyard to load a static caravan on to transport.
The caravan was sited behind the building, so once the channels and spreader bar system were all attached, we made it fly nice and high.
We then moved a 7.5T 40ft container, from the other end of the yard, back into where the caravan had been.

2nd Job of the day 2 hours earlier than planned, at 16:03 as the tide had turned with just enough water to float we lifted 3 ribs into Penzance Harbour, the ribs are assisting with a cable repair job in the area.
