🌟 We're Growing – and We Need Some Extra Volunteers! 🌟

It's an exciting time at HRRO.

Over the last two years we've grown from a small organisation finding its feet into an established local charity making a real difference across Herefordshire.

✅ Grant funding secured
✅ Professional warehouse shop premises
✅ Paid staff team and dedicated volunteers
✅ Diverting tonnes of reusable items from landfill
✅ Supporting local people through affordable reuse

As demand for our services continues to grow, we're looking for some extra volunteers to join our friendly team.

Whether you can spare a few hours a week or help occasionally, there are lots of ways to get involved. No experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a willingness to help.

We're looking forward to attending the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Dinner on 11th June, where we'll be holding a raffle to raise funds for Herefordshire Reuse and Recycling Organisation.

This week we'd like to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers at HRRO.

Whether you help regularly or occasionally, on the shop floor, in the warehouse, on the till, sorting donations, pricing items, helping customers or supporting events, your contribution helps make our work possible.

Together, you've helped save thousands of items from landfill, supported local people with affordable household goods, and helped build a stronger reuse culture in Herefordshire.

🎉 We are absolutely delighted to announce that Herefordshire Reuse and Recycling Organisation (HRRO) has been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund through the Awards for All Environment programme.

As a young charity, there have been times where the focus has simply been on surviving and keeping services running. This funding helps us move from survival towards sustainability, stability and confidence in what comes next.

The funding will help us strengthen the systems and infrastructure behind the work we already do every day – supporting professional reuse, reducing waste, improving environmental impact tracking and helping more good quality household items stay in use across Herefordshire.

It also comes at a time when furniture poverty and the rising cost of new household goods continue to affect many local people.

We are incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund, National Lottery players, our volunteers, staff, trustees, supporters, customers, donors and community partners who have helped us reach this stage.

Thank you for believing in reuse, sustainability and the work we are building together here in Herefordshire.

This is an exciting step forward for HRRO as we continue our journey from surviving to thriving.
