SUCCESS in CAERPHILLY🌟

This was a rare occurrence for Maindee Convenience Store. The two parties had fallen out over the ownership of the business, with one side withdrawing from the business whilst it is sorted out by solicitors. The pre-existing Premises Licence is held by the absent party, and our client Navayugan SENTHURAN applied for a second to keep the shop trading in the interim.

This new application was resisted by the other party - and it all ended up in a strained Hearing at Penallta House in Caerphilly. However the NEW Licence has been granted, as the Panel held that the operation of the new Licence was unlikely to undermine the Licensing Objectives in an otherwise incident-free operation.

SUCCESS in WALTHAM ABBEY🌟

The Abbey Taverna is an established Licensed Restaurant. However the previous Premises Licence was surrendered by the last occupants without the knowledge of the landlord who had reoccupied the premises - hence the need to apply for a completely new Licence.

Luckily the reputation of the applicant and the restaurant was such that nobody objected to the process, and the application passed through the system unhindered. Well done, George!

If you are even thinking of surrendering a Premises Licence, then please stay your hand as the consequences can be catastrophic for the new occupier. Call us for free advice if at all unsure of the best way forward. https://calendly.com/thelicensingguys/free-15-minute-call

SUCCESS in MANSFIELD🌟

Congratulations to Raj PADDA who today has been granted a Premises Licence on the former Victoria pub in Acreage La, Shirebrook, MANSFIELD as part of converting it into a fantastic new Convenience Store with Off Licence. Strangely enough, although a Mansfield address, these premises lie within Bolsover District Council area.

It's going to be great for the community to repurpose this former pub into something of massive use to the local community. Way to go, Raj!
