Meet Adam, one of the people behind the Penguin Helpdesk 🐧

If you've logged a reactive job with us, there's a good chance Adam's had a hand in it.

He looks after the day-to-day running of all our reactive maintenance, making sure every job:
• Is processed within the right SLA
• Gets the right contractor or service partner to site
• Is delivered to match what was reported
• Has any remedial quotes followed up
• Is carried out, completed and closed

Ever wondered why so many FM contracts go wrong in the first few months?

Andie Donaldson-Smith has seen it happen more times than she can count. Sales wins the contract, mobilisation sets it up and operations delivers it. But if those teams aren't talking, the details get lost along the way.

Her example? A tender that just says "doors". Toilet doors? Fire doors? The revolving door in reception? Nobody asks, and the team on site finds out the hard way.

Mike's answer is simple: get everybody around the table from day one, so the client gets exactly what they were promised.
