For our latest team building afternoon, Vlada became Claudia Winkleman for the day and turned the SW team into Faithfuls and Traitors.

Chloe, Niamh and Josh were randomly selected as the Traitors, and somehow managed to spend the afternoon lying to everyone’s faces without looking remotely suspicious...

Well, some of them did. It all came down to Chloe and Shannon as the final two standing.

Shannon was a Faithful.

Chloe was not. 😂

Which meant Chloe successfully fooled the entire team and walked away with all the prize money. 💰

Safe to say, we’ll be questioning everything she tells us from now on. 🕵️‍♂️

“Tell me about a time in your life or work where you overcame something difficult.”

It’s one of Adam's favourite interview questions. But not because he’s looking for a dramatic story.

The answer doesn’t have to be deeply personal. It could be a difficult project, learning a new skill, dealing with a setback...

It’s helps to understand how someone responds when things don’t go to plan.

How did you approach the situation?
What did you learn?
What did you do next?

Experience on a CV tells you what someone has done.

But questions like this can tell you a little more about how they think.

Happy 3-year Work Anniversary to Niamh Thompson! 🥳

Three years in our Marketing team and one thing has stayed consistent… she’s always looking for ways to make things better.

Whether it’s learning something new, questioning how we do things, testing new ideas or broadening her marketing expertise, Niamh is never one to stand still.

Every new starter should experience these 5 things during week one: 👇

1️⃣ Clarity around their role – Don’t assume they already know how everything works just because they have experience.

2️⃣ Clear expectations – They should know what’s expected of them during those first seven days.

3️⃣ Meaningful introductions – Not just a quick tour and 20 names they’ll immediately forget. Give them context on who people are and how they’ll work together.

4️⃣ Early feedback – Give them the opportunity to check they’re on the right track before uncertainty starts creeping in.

5️⃣ An end-of-week check-in – A simple conversation to see how they’re settling in, answer questions and identify any gaps.

Week one shouldn’t feel like a test. It should feel like orientation.
