Pia wanted to create the ultimate Finnish gourmand, an ode to the favourite sweet of the Nordics: salted liquorice. Combining anise and birch with a superdose (20%) of myrrh, the result is a subversion of the gourmand genre with smoked resinous depth.

SALMIAKKI is a perfumistic interpretation of this delicacy, with an extraordinarily literal impression of salmiak salt and dark liquorice.

Petrolhead evolved from a commission for a petrol fragrance for Goodwood Festival of Speed. Pia sought to capture the summer nights of a misspent youth – hanging out with groups of guys revving their engines, tyres screeching, and burning rubber on the tarmac of open-air car parks. Incorporating their leather jackets and interiors of classic cars, with rubber and diesel facets.

PETROLHEAD is a petrol-forward ambery leather that speaks to anyone who loves cars, or the scent of a petrol forecourt.

Nick took inspiration from the packaging, objects, and ads used for effects within the Lab Editions collection and spent more time than he’d like to admit recreating them from scratch - with an Olfiction twist.

Librido is a study of paper and books - from paperbacks to magazine pages, ink and bindings to leather covers.

Pia took her fascination with the smell of paper to extremes - countless trials to find the perfect balance, centred around Australian Sandalwood.

A spicy accent in the top, mimosa and lavender in the heart, then a ménage a trois between woods, orris, and ambergris as the fragrance wears on.

To paraphrase Orsino: “if perfume be the food of love, spray on.”

When creating Thé Tea, Pia wanted to incorporate as many tea materials as possible. She included black tea CO2, green tea essential oil, a big dose of bergamot for earl grey, a jasmine infusion for floralcy and maté for its earthy depth. She combined these with boxtree absolute to bring tannins and smoke, as well as fantasy accords of maesil-cha (Korean plum tea), steam, and matcha.

THÉ TEA has been described by creators, fellow perfumers, and fragrance lovers as “the ultimate tea scent”. We won’t disagree. For us, it’s as soothing and grounding as drinking a freshly brewed and perfectly steeped cup of tea.
