🐭 A New Tenant… But Not a Very Welcome One! 🚗🔧

As the colder, wetter weather arrives, it seems even the local wildlife is looking for somewhere warm and dry to call home!

Unfortunately for one of our customers, a little mouse decided that their car was the perfect place to move in… and promptly started chewing through the vehicle's wiring! 🐭⚡

As you can see from the photos, this tiny visitor managed to cause quite a bit of damage!

Thankfully, our experienced technicians at Auto Electrical Services were on hand to identify the damage, repair the affected wiring and get everything safely back together. 🔧✅

🐭 A little reminder as we head into autumn and winter: Mice and other rodents love warm, sheltered spaces, and vehicle engine bays and wiring looms can make surprisingly attractive homes!

❄️ A/C leak finally found! 🔧

This customer had already visited three other garages trying to get to the bottom of an ongoing air-conditioning leak — but the problem was still there.

After carrying out our own diagnosis, the team at Auto Electrical Services tracked the leak down to the evaporator buried deep inside the heater box.

As the photos show, getting to it is no five-minute job! The dashboard has to be carefully stripped back to access the heater box and replace the faulty component.

It’s a great example of why accurate diagnosis matters. Rather than simply re-gassing a system that will only lose its refrigerant again, we work to find the actual source of the fault and repair it properly. ✅
