I am genuinely so sorry I underestimated you, Hemel Hempstead 😩

We opened our brand new site there last Friday. I told my franchisees it’s not going to be that busy. All the marketing I did was post a TikTok the day before and these things take time. We prepared enough stock to last the whole weekend.

We opened. The orders came flying in. Within four hours we had completely sold out 😭

I’m usually on launch day just supervising but I was on the phones, I was making pizzas, I was doing deliveries. It was absolutely manic 😅 And I do want to say sorry to anyone who had to wait. We just had no idea. No idea at all.

We sold hundreds of pizzas. Hundreds. That is still not real to me 🤯
This is the biggest launch in Bombay Pizza history.

And the thing is, this was only supposed to be a delivery kitchen. We decided last minute to open up collection even though the front wasn’t fully ready yet. And so many of you just came. You showed up 🥹

I have 10 locations in London. Nothing prepared me for location 11.
Hemel Hempstead, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. You didn’t have to choose us. You’re a new area, we’re a new face, and you just welcomed us in. It means everything. We will not be underestimating you again 🌶️

I can’t believe it’s been a year since my Apprentice interview! walked into our restaurant, surprised my staff and ordered a pizza from . He gave us a 5 star review on BBC national TV and the next day we had queues at the door ❤️

This sparked the series of events leading to us now having 11 locations 🍕I’m super grateful for this moment.

None of this happens without my incredible team who smashed it that day without even knowing the cameras were there.

The messages don’t stop asking me to open near them. So I listened.

I built Bombay Pizza from scratch and the love we get every single day still blows my mind. People DMing me from East London, Manchester, everywhere, begging us to come to their city.

So we are.

There were moments I didn’t think we’d even make it this far, but we kept going.

It’s been a dream of mine to give a TEDx talk, so I’m really glad I finally got to do my first one this week.

I spoke about “Build Before You’re Ready.”

At 22, I spent one week creating Bombay Pizza from scratch.
Five years later it’s a seven-figure brand with 10 locations.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned:
You don’t become ready before you start — you become ready by building.
