This Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to talk about something that affects people in every walk of life - looking after your mental wellbeing, not just your physical safety.

In traffic management, we see first-hand how long shifts, night work, pressure, travelling, and time away from home can build up over time. But the reality is, whether you work on site, in an office, or in any industry, it’s not always easy to spot when someone is struggling - including in yourself.

That’s why checking in on people matters. A quick chat, a simple “are you alright?”, or just taking a moment to properly listen can make a bigger difference than we often realise. Sometimes it’s also the small things - taking a proper break, stepping away for a few minutes, or just giving yourself a bit of space when things feel busy - that help more than we think.

Quantum is committed to building teams where people feel supported, respected, and able to speak openly, not just this week, but all year round. We want to remind our dedicated staff that they are never on their own, and encourage everyone to keep the conversation going with their Supervisor, Manager, or colleague. 💚

If you’d rather speak to someone outside of work, support is also available:
• Lighthouse Charity Construction Industry Helpline, 24/7 support: 0345 605 1956
• Samaritans: Call 116 123 anytime
• Mind UK: mind.org.uk

🏆 Another major contract secured - and one that means a lot to us.

Quantum Traffic Management is proud to confirm the renewal of the Wrexham Temporary Traffic Management contract with Wrexham County Borough Council.

Having successfully delivered the previous term, we’re delighted to continue supporting the Council with temporary traffic management services across the Wrexham network for a further 104 weeks, with two 12 month extension options in place beyond this period.

Over the last contract term, our teams have delivered traffic management across both county and trunk road networks throughout Wrexham, including emergency response operations, road closures, diversion routes, cyclic maintenance schemes, and works on key strategic routes including the A483 and A5 corridors.

This contract is particularly important to us due to our strong operational presence within Wrexham, where we currently employ 50 locally based staff. We remain committed to investing in local employment, workforce development, and industry training through LANTRA & NHSS qualifications, while continuing to support the wider community through local football team sponsorships, youth coaching involvement, and recruitment events.

Retaining this contract is a reflection of the hard work, professionalism, and dedication shown by our entire team. We take great pride in continuing our partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council. Thank you to everyone involved - we look forward to continuing to deliver safe, reliable and professional traffic management services across the Borough! 👏

We were proud to support a very special day at Taunton Football Club, sponsoring the Under 14s Match Ball and Programme for a charity football event held in aid of Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.

The match was organised to raise vital funds in memory of a young boy who tragically lost his life to meningitis, and to support his family and others affected. The ambition is to raise £50,000, with an incredible £33,000 already achieved so far.

It was a fantastic day of football, community spirit, and coming together for an important cause. We’re pleased to have played a small part in supporting such a meaningful event and helping to raise awareness and funds.

If you’d like to support the fundraiser, you can find the link here: https://lnkd.in/eevzgVxd

A big thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and to all those who donated and took part.
