Earlier this year, we launched our Starts With Me Campaign to recognise the people, teams and depots across Quantum Traffic Management who consistently go above and beyond.
Each month, our people have the opportunity to nominate colleagues, teams, depots and examples of best practice across four award categories: Safety Star, Quality Champion, Employee of the Month and Depot of the Month.
The campaign celebrates the everyday actions that make a difference, putting safety first, delivering quality, supporting colleagues and demonstrating leadership - helping us achieve the .
We are extremely proud to announce our first ever campaign winners for August 2026:
🏆 Employee of the Month - Wayne Hughes (£150 voucher + certificate)
Wayne is recognised for consistently going above and beyond, supporting colleagues and leading by example on safety. His reliability, positive attitude and pride in his work ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. His continued commitment to supporting Quantum’s operational goals makes him a real asset to our Wrexham depot and wider business.
🏆 Safety Star - Nigel Dalton (£100 voucher + certificate)
During the Eisteddfod in Cardigan, an unexpected power cable incident created a significant risk to the public. Although Nigel had finished his scheduled shift, he stayed behind to help manage traffic and pedestrians and keep the public away from the danger area. His calm and controlled response demonstrated an exceptional commitment to keeping others safe.
🏆 Quality Champion - Paul Flanagan (£100 voucher + certificate)
Paul is recognised for his outstanding leadership and dedication during the Eisteddfod, while continuing to manage the Swansea depot. From equipment preparation and planning through to remaining on site for the full event, his organisation, attention to detail and hands-on approach helped deliver a major event successfully alongside day-to-day operations.
🏆 Depot of the Month - Swansea Depot (prize + trophy awarded by Scott Powell, Managing Director)
Swansea is recognised for its strong operational performance, KPI delivery, health and safety, compliance, customer service, teamwork and continuous improvement, demonstrating a consistent contribution to Quantum’s wider success.
