✨ Come and learn the legendary ‘Bull & Dolphin Shuffle’ with us! ✨
Join us in Cathedral Square on 20th June at 12.45pm and help keep one of Peterborough’s most nostalgic traditions alive 💃🕺
From weddings to club nights and even family BBQs, this legendary dance has been getting people on their feet for decades!
So what is it? The Bull & Dolphin Shuffle was born in the 1970s at the much-loved Bull & Dolphin pub on Lower Bridge Street. Whenever Len Boone’s “Love Won’t Be Denied” played, the dancefloor would fill and a local tradition was born.
It’s a fun, disco-style line dance made up of simple, repeated steps, so anyone can pick it up and get involved, no experience needed!
What makes it truly special is how it’s been passed down through generations of Peterborians. Even today, it still pops up at weddings, parties, and even the Beer Festival.
Will we stick to the classic shuffle with a Fletton foot swing? Or throw in a Westwood whirl?
There’s only one way to find out…Come along, get involved, and be part of keeping this piece of Peterborough history alive ❤️
