In January '27 employment rights will be protected after 6 months employment, but have you considered the impact to all the types of employment contracts you offer?

Whether you are offering a permanent role / fixed term / intern all of these will have protection after 6 months of employment with you. That isn't after you've written to them to confirm their employment, that is 6 months on the dot.

𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴?
🐝No, but it does mean that you need to tighten your processes, have the paperwork in place and make timely decisions. As well as measurements in place to measure success and a robust induction program.

🍯 Fantastic 🙌 - but the difference with this legislation is whilst it comes in on the 1 January '27, it is from that date that people can have employment rights, which means that the legislation can / may impact those people who are hired from the 1 July '26...
