Supporting families and professionals I have worked with children and families for 20 years and over that time I have gained a wide spectrum of knowledge and experiences. I qualified as an Infant massage instructor in 2012 with the Insititute of infant massage (IAIM) an

d have been using my skills supporting families but also with my own children. The effects it had on our relationship and bonding are ever lasting. When I teach infant massage to families, every class is different because every baby is different!! Thats one of the most rewarding things about my job, I can share a little bit of that precious time parents have with their babies and I feel very lucky to have that opportunity. September 2017 I introduced our sleep consultancy branch. I have been working with families for the last 8 years within my NHS role supporting families to improve their child's sleep issues. I am bringing those skills and experiences to the little cherry tree to support families. I understand that not one method suits all so I work closely with you to tailor a plan that is manageable for you and your family.

If someone has told you to cut naps so your baby sleeps better at night… I need you to hear this.

Overtired babies don’t sleep better.

They actually wake more.

When your baby gets too tired, their body releases stress hormones and that makes it harder to stay asleep.

So sometimes… the fix for broken nights isn’t less sleep… it’s better daytime sleep. Knowing how much sleep your baby needs roughly over a 24 hour period and how that is split between day and night will really help you!!!

Comment your babies age and let me tell you

Red light is really gentle on your baby’s sleep hormones,it doesn’t fully ‘wake’ the brain in the same way white or blue light does.

So if you’re up in the night a lot… switching to a soft red light can help your baby settle back to sleep more easily.

Red light won't fix all your sleep problems but it also won't make it worse either

I have so much to thank Chris for that its hard to know where to start!

I asked for help when my little one was 6 months old, feeling exhausted and couldnt see a routine in sight with my little one cat napping throughout the day. I had no idea how to juggle naps around the school run or how to help my little one get more sleep in the daytime. Chris helped me to work on nap timings and length. Almost daily she would answer any question, nothing was ever too silly.

Chris offered more than sleep support, she provided me with a listening ear, one with compassion and no judgement. She also helped me increase my confidence with knowing what to do when things didnt go to plan!

Thank you Chris for everything you have done for me and my little boy, for giving me structure amongst the chaos and for answering every small question. I will always be so grateful for your support 🫶

There’s been a lot of conversation recently following a BBC investigation into sleep advice being shared with families.

The key takeaway from this investigation was advice given that doesnt align with safe sleep guidance. Research that was supported by a huge decrease in infant deaths and that every sleep expert should have as a key pillar in their advice.

When parents are exhausted, overwhelmed, and just trying to do the best for their baby, the advice they receive should be safe, evidence-based, and responsible.
Not driven by algorithms.
Not shaped for engagement.
And definitely not based on opinion alone.

As a sleep consultant and a professional training provider, I want to be very clear about where I stand.
My work is always grounded in evidence and safety.

I align my advice with guidance from The Lullaby Trust and the NHS.

That means:
• Safe sleep is never compromised for the sake of sleep outcomes
• Families are supported in a way that is responsive, realistic, and appropriate
• Advice is tailored, not one-size-fits-all
• And most importantly, parents are given accurate information so they can make informed choices

Because here’s the truth…
Influence should not be measured by follower count.

Real influence, the kind that actually supports families comes from:
✔ Knowledge
✔ Experience
✔ Ongoing professional development
✔ And the ability to apply guidance safely to real-life situations

Parents deserve to feel confident, not confused.
Supported, not judged.

And reassured that the advice they’re following is built on more than just opinion.
If you’re ever unsure about sleep advice you’ve seen online, it’s okay to question it.
It’s okay to ask where it comes from.
And it’s more than okay to seek support from someone who prioritises both sleep and safety.

You need a clear plan.

Working with a sleep consultant, who can take a holistic look at what is happening for your little ones sleep, without the tiredness and emotion can really help keep you on track to make changes and stick with them. Often when we make changes and we dont feel like it is working it is easy to stop, but if you have someone on the outside who can talk you through what is happening and why, reassuring you with what's normal and tweaking things that aren't. You are more likely to keep the changes and see improved sleep and confidence long term.

Which means less
dreading bedtimes
No more exhaustion
and no more second guessing.

Let me help you with your sleep, start by dropping me a DM to see what your options are.
