The Solo dinghy class is currently celebrating its 70th Anniversary. This one has a rather striking yellow deck, which appears to be in good condition thanks to her cover. She has wooden foils/rudder, as well as 2x sets of sails. She is reported to come with the trolley and trailer seen in the below photographs. The conditions of the trailer are unconfirmed so be ready to need a second trailer/additional parts to tow her home. An interesting addition to this boat is the wooden support for the boom, which could also prove useful when trailering. All in all 'Buzz' is described to have lots of life left in her but may need some tweaks.

Ashore in Anglesey
Free to a New Home

'Allonzi' is a Finn keel 27ft cruiser, originally coming on to the production line in 1972. She has 4x berths: a double V berth in the forepeak, and a two single berths in the main cabin. She has an impressive amount of headspace for a 27ft boat, with a cabin height of 1.8m from floorboards to coachroof. The engine is said to be a MD7A 13hp 2 cyl four stroke Volvo Penta Diesel, which is likely her original engine. She is shaft drive to a 2 blade fixed prop. We have been told the diesel injectors were refurbished in 2016 and engine serviced yearly.

We have been told the most recent owner has fitted a furling system to the genoa, but there are also previous hank on jibs in her inventory. She is also kitted out with VHF, Depth/speed guage and autohelm. Both her leisure and starter batteries were replaced in 2023.

A full inventory can be seen below.

This is a lovely boat, with a strong reputation, made by a yacht builder that has stood the test of time. She has been greatly loved by her most recent owners, and they hope someone puts in an offer to give her a just as much of a loving home. Although not boat-specific, there is a Dufour Owners Association which could be of interest to her future owner.

The Macwester Wight Mk2 is a twin keel, center cockpit ketch rigger. She was built in the 1970's and has been in and out of use until earlier this decade. Although this model of boat is on the rarer side, the Macwester's owners Association is still a strong and friendly community.

This boat in particular was used as a liveaboard for a large part of its life, but has been unused when the owner changed location and was moved to the hard. Unfortunately in this time, water has made her way in. Despite this, she is reported have some useful updates such as a New Beta 35 engine, with a bronze 3-blade prop, and 103L Tektank. She also comes with a diesel heater.

Her standing rigging we have been told to have been replaced in 2022, with thicker, stronger wire than factory for additional security. the headsail is rigged to furl. She has a spray-hood/bimini that's designed to link the front and rear coachroof, made with 1-inch Stainless tube; however it is reported to have a small hole in the port window. She still has her sails, and all her original upholstery.

Please note if no interest is shown in the near future, she will be moved towards scrapping

Engine serviced at the end of 2022 with new core plugs and a new head gasket fitted, and filters cleaned.

'Narrow escape' is a steel hull Narrowboat built in 1986. She was last surveyed in 2022 (taken out the water to do so) which showed a mostly overplated underside, with some overplating still required to the counter bottom (est £1200+VAT at the time). The survey noted that 'it is unlikely there would be a need for significant further hull repairs in the short to medium term'. She has been insulated with fibreglass insulation below the gunwales.

Inventory (as of last visit):
2x 100w solar panels
1250V inverter
3 Leisure batteries and 1 Yuasa starter battery
2 new anodes fitted in June 2018
Plumbing and infrastructure for kitchen and bathroom including shower pump and disconnected calorifier
Plumbing and infrastructure for pump out toilet
Large water tank in bow
Multifuel wood burner not installed
Fibreglass insulation below gunwales.
Several sheets of plywood, paint, some electrical parts and a couple of pieces of old furniture (fold out table and small sofa).

Although not complete inside, her plumbing and infrastructure for kitchen and bathroom including shower pump and disconnected calorifier has been completed; on top of the plumbing for the pump-out toilet and a watertank fitted to the bow. Although not installed, it is reported to have a woodburner. As it stands she has no BSS.

Although in need of work to complete, she offers great opportunity to break in to the narrowboat world, whether this is to live on permanently, or as a home away from home. The current owner had to retire from the project due to health issues.

Sadler 25

Free to a New Home

Ashore in Plymouth

This Sadler 25 has been described as a 'go anywhere pocket cruiser'. She is reported to be set up by her existing owner for singlehanded sailing, however due to health related issues she is now after a new home. She has a deep keel, and a Yanmar 1gm10 fitted (replacing the factory 6hp engine) with removable tek-tanks. She comes with a Garmin chartplotter, windvane, electric windlass and a large array of Lewmar deck gear.

It seems the project hasn't been completed and as seen from the photographs (all of the pictures but the sailing one are taken two weeks ago after a through cleaning!) she is starting to age cosmetically due to lack of use. There is reported a rain water ingress, and some woodwork requiring attention. Her previous owner has put a very large amount of time and effort to this boat over the years, and as a result has a particularly well kitted boat. More information about her can be seen in the link below.

On a trolley in Leeds
Available by a donation towards the MND Association

This is a small 11.8ft wooder clinker rowing boat. It has been within the same family for many generations, however due to a recent death is now looking for a new home where she can be loved like she has been for generations before. As seen from the photographs she has been well varnished and lovingly maintained. Comes with wooden oars kept to the same condition. She comes on a trolley, but as far as we know does not have a trailer.

The upholstery is reported to be in a good/fair condition. Sadly she has been reported to have a faulty engine, suspected to be some sort of leak. Her engine is a perkins diesel engine. As seen in the photographs, she is also sadly missing her port front window.

Due to mooring fees being due, this boat will only be avaiable till the end of the month before she has to be taken away.

Due to owner circumstances this boat has been laid up since 2012/2013, however will not take long to make her a modern day superstar! Despite not starting for 12 years, the engine started in under 5 minutes last year. Subsequently started a few times on the first attempt. Her underside was stripped when she came out in in 2012, so ready for a new coating of antifoul by her future owner. She is reported to have good radio/AIS receiver with it’s remote cockpit station, GPS, depth, autohelm. The wind instruments however are reported to require attention. As expected for a boat unused for such a while, the running rigging is reported to want replacing in the near future, however the standing rigging was brand new in 2012 and has seen only about 100 miles use.
