🚨 24 MINUTES AVERAGE. JUST 4 MINUTES AT OUR QUICKEST!

Throughout October, CR2 Security achieved an impressive average alarm response time of just 24 minutes, with our quickest response taking only 4 minutes!

All of this across an operational footprint spanning approximately 2,326 square miles.

That's not one town or a small patrol area. It's a significant geographical area supported by strategically positioned mobile security officers and established patrol routes.

Our services include:

🔑 Professional Keyholding
🚨 24/7 Alarm Response
🚓 Dedicated Mobile Security Patrols
🔒 Alarm Investigation & Premises Security
📋 Detailed, Time-Stamped Reporting

When an alarm activates, our customers don't need to put themselves or their employees at risk. We take that responsibility from them.

🚨 YOUR SECURITY COMPANY MIGHT HAVE SIA LICENSED STAFF… BUT DOES YOUR INSURER EXPECT MORE?

Here's something every business owner, facilities manager and property manager should be asking...

Have you actually checked what your insurance provider says about mobile security, keyholding and alarm response?

Insurance giant Aviva has published risk management guidance that should make businesses think twice about who they're trusting with the keys to their premises.

In its Security – Personnel Risk Management guidance, Aviva recommends:

✅ SIA Approved Contractor status for relevant security providers.

✅ Compliance with BS 7984-3:2020, the British Standard for mobile security services.

✅ Independent third-party accreditation through recognised bodies such as SSAIB OR NSI.

Let that sink in.

Having staff with an SIA licence is NOT the same as being an SIA Approved Contractor.

One relates to the individual. The other means the security business has undergone independent assessment of its management, operational standards and business practices.

Yet how many businesses appoint their mobile security or alarm response provider based purely on the cheapest quotation?

💥 Here's the uncomfortable question:

If your premises were broken into tonight, could you demonstrate that your security arrangements met your insurer's requirements?

Not every insurance policy requires an SIA Approved Contractor, but most insurers clearly recognise the importance of independently assessed security providers.

At CR2 Security, we're proud to be an SIA Approved Contractor for Keyholding, Security Guarding and Door Supervision.

We provide professional mobile patrols, keyholding, lock and unlock services and alarm response across the whole of Wiltshire and North East Somerset.

Don't just check whether the officers attending your premises hold SIA licences. Ask whether the company behind them has been independently assessed, scrutinised and approved. Because when something goes wrong, it could become a very very expensive mistake.

Operating within BID security teams often presents significant challenges. Situations can escalate rapidly, requiring security personnel to assess risks, make informed decisions and respond appropriately under pressure. We also recognise that while SIA licence-linked training provides an essential foundation, additional specialist training is vital in preparing officers for the realities of frontline operations and what they may be faced with on a daily basis.

This week, our Bristol BID Rangers completed an intensive two-day Compliance and Control training programme, focused on decision-making, legal responsibilities, use of force, communication, outcomes and teamwork.

Through realistic and pressure tested scenario-based exercises, the team were challenged to assess developing situations, apply appropriate interventions and evaluate their decisions and outcomes under pressure.

A key emphasis throughout was the importance of established systems, effective teamwork and sound judgement over individual physical capability.

As a company, were not naive and we recognise that the lawful, necessary and proportionate use of force can sometimes be unavoidable. Ensuring our personnel understand when, why and how to intervene is therefore absolutely vital to ensure their own safety, their teams safety and the safety of the people they may be deal with.

A big thankyou to FNV Security and Training Ltd for taking the team through such a really valuable 2 days!
