Knife Crime Awareness Week.
Knife crime continues to impact individuals, families, businesses and communities across the UK. Retail workers, night-time economy staff, BID teams, security teams and frontline employees are often among those exposed to the reality of violence and aggression.
According to the Office for National Statistics, there were over 49,000 offences involving knives or sharp instruments recorded across England and Wales in the year ending December 2025.
In the South West alone, Avon and Somerset Police recorded more than 1,600 serious knife-related offences, accounting for almost half of all recorded offences across the region.
Behind every statistic is a victim, a family and a community affected.
At CR2 Security, we believe prevention starts with awareness, early intervention and strong community partnerships. Whether through visible security presence, safeguarding, training or working alongside local agencies, everyone has a role to play in helping create safer environments.
Right People, Right Places.
