One of the more common faults we find when a washing machines drum doesn’t spin is worn motor brushes.
If you don’t have access to a multi meter you can tap both brushes with a screwdriver this can release the carbon and makes a contact which will allow the motor to run . The brushes will still have to be replaced but this confirms they are worn.

At A L B DOMESTICS I see a common fault with washing machines, if you drum no longer turns on a cycle this is usually due to worn motor brushes an easy way to check this is to locate them on the motor and tap them this allows the brushes to make a contact to the armature. If the washing machine works as normal after this the brushes need replacing.
