Altezza People UK Limited 🐴Self Awareness | Soft Skills | Workshops with Horses | Corporate Learning Events | Embodied So where do the horses fit in? This allows us to work in real-time.

You will be surprised how relaxed the environment is and how punchy the lessons are. This is because you are not learning a theory and having to work out how it fits into your personal world. You will become aware of strengths and blockers and become aware of how you can align yourselves, head, heart, and gut. Trust and boundaries are paramount in any team - you will read about it, but you will rarely move to a space where you can understand it and come together intuitively in a noticeably short space of time. We have theory-based content creating a sound structure to your learning, but the approach allows you to experience it rather than having to read theory or sit in front of PowerPoint. Well, you and they may work together as a team for a while. You may receive supportive or challenging feedback as we work through the day. Horses are sentient beings who share emotions with humans, they just do not have to talk - this is where we get lost! They also work with what they are presented with, this means they hold no grudges from the past and have no care for what may or may not transpire in the future. You will observe non-verbal feedback based upon how you show up and it allows you to challenge your decision making, check in with your self-awareness and problem solve your choices.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of Bradley, whose life was taken through knife crime just a few weeks ago. Another young life lost far too soon, leaving family, friends and a wider community grieving a loss that should never have happened 😔

Knife crime continues to devastate lives and communities. Through our work alongside organisations such as Black Onyx Academy, we are committed to educating and supporting young people to understand the consequences of violence, the lasting impact of their choices, and the importance of finding positive alternatives to conflict. Every life affected is a reminder of why this work matters so much 🙏

We are incredibly grateful to Bradley’s family for recognising the importance of this work. His nieces have expressed a desire to fundraise in his memory, helping us reach more young people with the education, guidance and support that could make a real difference. We are truly touched by their commitment to turning such a painful loss into something that has the potential to protect other families from experiencing similar heartbreak 💔

If you are able to support this fundraiser, please follow the link below. Every contribution will help us continue working towards safer futures for our young people.

We hope to meet with Bradley’s family soon to explore how his memory can become part of a lasting, positive movement for change within our youth communities.

No family should have to endure this kind of loss. Together, we must continue to challenge the belief that violence is the answer, helping young people see that there are other choices, other paths and other ways forward 🙏

Bradley’s life mattered. His memory can help make a difference 💙

We’ve been helping leaders identify where skill gaps exist to develop a practical plan for in-house and strategic development.

🏷️ To help more organisations do this in 2027, we’re offering 20% off an equine assisted learning day here at Altezza HQ for team bookings.

Employers are recognising that skills like empathy, critical thinking, emotional intelligence and self-awareness are vital for long term workforce resilience.

Just under half of employers say they want to increase their efforts to develop talent in-house, with 45% increasing L&D opportunities to improve retention, according to CIPD’s Resourcing and Talent Planning Report.

We at Altezza anticipate this number to grow in 2027, as many companies invest in their internal capability alongside initiatives like apprenticeships. Tools like peer learning and structured mentoring can go a long way in helping to create conditions where learning and knowledge sharing happens continuously, which is why we track ROI from start to finish over time.

Email [email protected] quoting 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠𝟮𝟬 for your discount on a team equine experiential learning day and tell us about your development plans*.

*Please note that since sessions are unique to your team, the discount will be applied to your bespoke quote. Bookings must be taken by December 19 for a maximum team size of eight, and the session must be held prior to June 30, 2027.

Recently, I was advised that we needed to become a licensed premises, which was not the case when we set up six years ago.

This meant that we had to pay for a 3-year licence and undergo a rigorous inspection. It was a bit worrying, but now necessary, so the paperwork was sent through and I proceeded to work through all 44 pages of it!

The name of the licence?

Licence to Keep or Train Animals for Exhibition, under The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018, through South Staffordshire Council.

Our Herd are not props used in a learning experience!

When I first heard the words “animals for exhibition”, I have to admit it ruffled my feathers!

Our herd do not perform tricks and they are not trained to entertain audiences. They are not show ponies or forced to work. Ever!

But as I worked through the paperwork (did I mention 44 pages?!), the more I understood the responsibility behind the regulation and its value to the business and the herd.

I reflected that our herd are not ‘used’ to perform. They form part of the learning environment and are not tools to be used to achieve a particular outcome.

Rest is not a reward — it is a necessity. In a world that asks us to keep going, choose to pause.

✍🏽 Journal Prompt: What does rest look like for you right now, and are you allowing yourself to receive it?

You deserve restoration.
