Voting Yes for Swansea BID ✅

As the ballot gets underway, we’ve been speaking to businesses across the BID area about why they’re backing our next term.

One of those businesses is Plantasia Tropical Zoo, and here's what the Attraction Manager, Paul, told us:

"Having been involved with Business Improvement Districts for around 20 years, I’ve seen first-hand the difference they can make to city centres and the businesses within them. They play an important role in bringing people together, supporting local organisations and making sure businesses stay informed about what’s happening around them.

"That’s exactly why Plantasia's backing Swansea BID. Keeping businesses connected and up to date is so valuable, and having a dedicated organisation working to strengthen the city centre benefits everyone.

"For me, it’s an easy decision. Swansea BID is good for the city, good for the business community, and I’ll definitely be voting 'Yes' in the upcoming ballot."

As the ballot gets underway, we’ve been speaking to businesses across the BID area about why they’re backing our next term.

One of those businesses is Teamz Sportswear, and here's what the manager, Steven, told us:

"We’ll be voting Yes in the BID ballot because we’ve seen just how fantastic the team are at supporting us as a small, local business. The extra city rangers which are supported by Swansea BID have made us and our customers feel so much safer and we’ve seen a noticeable improvement!

"The street cleansing team have really made a difference too, and it’s more important now than ever that we create a welcoming space for visitors to our city centre. The whole BID team are always on hand for us as a business and we don’t want to lose that level of support."

Voting Yes for Swansea BID ✅

As the ballot gets underway, we’ve been speaking to businesses across the BID area about why they’re backing our next term.

One of those businesses is The Anchor, and here's what Sel told us:

"We’ll definitely be voting 'Yes' for Swansea BID! One of the things we value most is how well they keep businesses informed about what’s happening across the city centre. It’s great to have that regular communication and know what’s going on.

"If we ever have a question or need a bit of advice, we can call or text the team and they always come back to us really quickly. That kind of support is invaluable when you’re running a busy business, and it’s reassuring to know they’re always there when you need them.

"We also really appreciate the close working relationship they have with Swansea Council, because that partnership ultimately benefits businesses across the city. On top of that, they’ve done a fantastic job promoting The Anchor over the years, and we’re genuinely grateful for all the support they’ve given us.

"For us, it’s an easy decision - Swansea BID has made a real difference to our business, and we’ll be proudly voting 'Yes'."

Voting Yes for Swansea BID ✅

As the ballot gets underway, we’ve been speaking to businesses across the BID area about why they’re backing our next term.

One of those businesses is Basekampswansea, and here's what Becky told us:

"We’ll definitely be voting 'Yes' for Swansea BID! The support they provide has been fantastic, especially the free training opportunities, which we’ve taken advantage of several times and found incredibly valuable.

"What really makes the difference, though, is the people. Jacob and Duggie are always so approachable and easy to get hold of. If we need anything, they’re happy to pop over and help, but they also make the effort to check in regularly just to see how we’re getting on, which means a lot.

"We also really appreciate the work Swansea BID does surrounding the Rangers and working with the Police to help keep the city centre safe. Those services are so important for businesses like ours, and it’s something we want to see continue.

"For us, supporting Swansea BID is an easy decision. It’s a big 'Yes' from Basekamp, and an enthusiastic wag of approval from Dill as well!"

Voting Yes for Swansea BID ✅

As the ballot gets underway, we’ve been speaking to businesses across the BID area about why they’re backing our next term.

One of those businesses is CryoGenik_ Comics, Merch and Collectibles, and here's what the owner, Robin, told us:

“As someone originally from Northamptonshire, I can wholeheartedly say that the Swansea BID team are a complete asset to the city. As an ‘outsider’ joining the city, I have been blown away by the active determination the team have to make the city a safer and cleaner place for visitors. On the flip side, the support they offer businesses is second to none with free training and advice, whenever needed.

"Swansea is going through major regeneration at the moment, and Swansea BID have to be part of it as the voice of city centre businesses. Their passion for the city and their drive for making improvements, is why they’ll get a ‘yes’ vote from me.”
