Thursday night the Marketing Mix Lab crew escaped the screen and met in real life, at the pub, naturally🌟

Yes, we look like we’re posing for a Victorian family portrait in the photo (I promise nobody was being held against their will), but the second the drinks landed it was all hellos, chatter and so many questions flying across the table I could barely keep up ❤️😂🌟

Oh, and somewhere in all that we actually chatted about niching and target markets too!

Yesterday a PHP security issue hit, and loads of websites (ticketing sites included) got knocked offline..argh!

Today I'm on strong coffee and checking every client site one by one, making sure they're safe and looking exactly as they should.

And this is why you pay someone to host and manage your website, because when the techie stuff goes wrong it's not your problem to fix, it's ours (well, mostly techy hubby's)

If your site's with us, we're on it and we'll shout if anything needs your attention. If you're not sure who'd sort yours out when something like this happens… maybe it's time we had a chat!

😲. Unpopular opinion: word of mouth isn’t a strategy. It’s a lovely bonus 😲

It’s brilliant when clients find you through someone they know, a personal recommendation goes far.

But whaf if they want more info? If they've got a question they need answering. Where do they look? Your website..untouched and unloved for months, years maybe

They look for an email sign up so they can learn a bit more about you. But they can't find am email sign up option.

Do they look for you on socials? If they're really keen, but the last time you posted was 3 months ago and it was a picture of your dog.

Don't get me wrong word of mouth is a fabulous piece of marketing...But you can’t plan around it, and chances are when you need that pick up, it doesn't happen.

Crumbs... didn’t expect THIS email from The TN Awards Company today.
