We recently advised and represented clients at a Planning Appeal Hearing against Shropshire Council and were successful in obtaining planning approval for two "Rural Exception Affordable Local Needs Dwellings" The clients are excited as they can now plan their futures.

Planning permission won by Wem based planning company for exceptional homes in Hook-a-Gate, Shrewsbury.

A pair of futuristic homes earmarked for a former railway siding in the Shropshire countryside will go ahead – despite council officers saying they were not “innovative” enough”. The Planning Group Ltd won planning permission for Shropshire clients after a lengthy planning process which saw them prove the applicability of Paragraph 84e of the National Planning Policy Framework at Shropshire Council’s Southern Planning Committee Meeting. The full application can be viewed on the Shropshire Planning Website - Reference: 24/01248/FUL.

The Client stated:
“After a long search for a Planning Consultant to head up a potentially contentious application which would only be approved in exceptional circumstances, we were introduced to The Planning Group almost two years ago by recommendation from our Architect Ewan Dryburgh from EDA of Shrewsbury
That recommendation clearly was one that we greatly appreciate with the recent planning success achieved. I cannot recommend highly enough the professional and knowledgeable way that The Planning Group headed up by Martin and his expert team went about this over a two-year period. Right from the pre application stage through to conclusion the professional sparing with the officers was most impressive, each Council action was met with a better counter action which greatly helped the Planning Committee reach a majority vote in our favour against the officers recommendation for refusal.
