🤗We are looking forward to our next 'Spokes, Skills and Spoons' creative session at Hope Community Project (Wolverhampton) on Monday 22nd June.

♻️We'll be creating beautiful silhouette artworks using recycled books / newsprint.

🆓These sessions are free to attend and open to all abilities - spread the word! All materials will be provided along with 'step - by step' guides that are highly visual, rather than relying on English language.

📆Mondays @ 1-3pm

We had a wonderful outdoor art session at West Park Hospital today. Gary taught the group numbers 1-20 and then we had a fun game of BSL Bingo with the numbers we learnt.

Alex then led a session on personalised terracotta pots - watch this space next week as the designs develop!

Some gorgeous cardboard creations here, made by participants attending the 'Spokes, Skills and Spoons' session today at Hope Community Project (Wolverhampton)

These sessions are funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and are all about turning everyday items, that might otherwise go to landfill, into pieces of art/craft.

They are free to attend, open to all, from beginners to experienced creatives, and happen on Mondays at Hope, 1-3pm.
Please spread the word - we'd love to see you there - we have 4 more exciting sessions planned - watch this space for what's coming up in future sessions...

** UPDATE ** we're adding a couple of new photos, completed drawings made by participants who took their pieces home.

What a brilliant start to the Spokes, Skills & Spoons project with Hope Community Project (Wolverhampton) yesterday.

We are delivering a series of creative sessions for adults focusing on recycling / up-cycling everyday items that would normally go to landfill.

The participants created these lovely tin can planters with a various seeds planted in them, and we love how different cultures can be represented in this way, for example the Kurdistan flag.

Gary also taught some British Sign Language to add to the transferrable skills being learnt by the group.

Some wonderful pencil drawings of Dudley Castle keep made by participants at the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit at West Park Hospital today. We're looking forward to seeing these develop next week.

Also, Gary led a BSL bingo game linked to fingerspelling the letters of the alphabet. This is a great and fun way of reinforcing learning.

We're excited to be starting a recycled / up-cycled art project at Hope Community Project (Wolverhampton) next week.
Here is a lovely idea to help you get out in nature which some of our activities are linked to ...
