Forever grateful to call this my job 😭🐶
Sometimes I stop for a moment and look at how far My little business has come, and it honestly makes me emotional.
6 years ago I was working in a bank — a world away from what I do now. Deep down I’d always wanted to work with animals, but I never quite had the confidence to take that leap.
During lockdown, I finally decided it was time. I trained, worked every hour I could at the bank to save for my equipment, and spent my spare time grooming dogs for free so I could practice, gain confidence, and slowly build a client base from my mum and dad’s back porch.
I kept telling myself that if I worked hard enough, one day it would all be worth it… and honestly, it really was 😭💜
In February 2021 I took on my first teeny tiny salon and juggled grooming alongside my full-time bank job. Before long, the business grew so quickly that I physically couldn’t keep doing both. I had to take the leap, walking away from a secure income was terrifying, but I knew in my heart it was the right decision.
Fast forward more than five years, and I’m now in a bigger salon doing the job I once only dreamed about. My books have had to close four times because of how busy I become, and that still feels surreal to say.
This business has been built with hard work, long days, determination, and so much support from my amazing customers, family & friends.
I will never take for granted that I get to spend my days with dogs and call this my job. Thank you to every single person who has trusted me with their pets and supported my business along the way — I’m more grateful than you’ll ever know.
I’m so excited for what the future has to hold for my little business💜
