I have matched singles across Israel and North America for years, and the patterns are consistent once you know what to look for. Israelis tend to move quickly and say what they think. American Jews tend to pace things out and soften how they say it. Both sides keep misreading the other, and it is almost always a cultural gap rather than a character flaw.

You can filter dating apps for height, age and distance, but you cannot filter for the one thing that matters.

Every marriage-minded single I speak to has the same story about the apps. Deleted them, re-downloaded them, gave them one more honest try, and it still felt like work that went nowhere.
