In un piccolo fazzoletto di terra, circondato dal bosco e dagli ulivi, su un versante più fresco rispetto a quelli a cui siamo abituati, in un microclima unico e ricco di una biodiversità preziosa, 𝐮𝐧 𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐯𝐨 𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚.

Un vigneto che ci appartiene e racconta la nostra identità, perché nasce da un’attenta selezione clonale del nostro materiale genetico: 𝐮𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐥𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢.

In a small patch of land, surrounded by woodland and olive trees, on a cooler hillside than those we are used to, within a unique microclimate rich in precious biodiversity, 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞.

Durante A Montefalco, il nostro Campo de Pico 2024 è stato protagonista della masterclass “The Shape of Elegance: Montefalco’s New Wine Grammar”, guidata da Cristina Mercuri MW, prima donna Master of Wine in Italia.

Un appuntamento riservato alla stampa di settore, con oltre 80 giornalisti provenienti da tutto il mondo.

Vederlo lì — versato, raccontato, discusso — dentro un tema preciso come quello dell’eleganza, in un tavolo di questo livello, è stata un’emozione e una soddisfazione importante.

Giuseppe è il padre di Danilo, figlio di Angelina e Fortunato.
Da loro ha ereditato la terra e un modo di viverla fatto di rispetto, tempo e gesti quotidiani.

Non ha mai avuto bisogno di raccontarsi.
Ha sempre preferito fare.

I campi sono il suo posto naturale.
Lì il lavoro è concreto, essenziale, vero.
Seguire la vigna significa osservare, aspettare, tornare ogni giorno tra i filari, senza scorciatoie.

Giuseppe sa che la terra non si comanda, si accompagna.
E lo fa con costanza, pazienza e dedizione.

Valdangius nasce anche così:
da mani che lavorano ogni giorno,
da occhi che sanno aspettare,
da una passione che vive davvero.

In cantina il tempo ha un passo diverso.

Le scelte non servono a stupire, ma a accompagnare il vino nel suo percorso.

È in questo contesto che entrano in gioco le anfore TAVA in terracotta, già utilizzate per il Sagrantino DOCG.

Recipienti che hanno lavorato, capaci di sostenere un’evoluzione lenta e continua senza coprire il carattere del vino.

La terracotta favorisce equilibrio e stabilità, mettendo in relazione il lavoro fatto in vigna con quello in cantina.
Non è una tecnica estrema né un elemento decorativo, ma uno strumento coerente con l’idea di vino che vogliamo seguire: leggibile, pulito, fedele alla sua origine.

In the cellar, time moves at a different pace.

Choices are not made to impress, but to guide the wine along its path.

Within this context come the TAVA terracotta amphorae, previously used for Sagrantino DOCG.

Vessels that have already worked, supporting a slow and steady evolution without masking the wine’s character.

Terracotta encourages balance and stability, linking vineyard work with cellar decisions.
This is neither an extreme technique nor a decorative element, but a tool consistent with the idea of wine we follow: clear, clean, and faithful to its origin.

Tra silenzio e attesa, i grappoli di Sagrantino riposano sui graticci, come vuole la tradizione.
Qui il tempo rallenta, l’aria accarezza gli acini e l’uva si trasforma, giorno dopo giorno, con pazienza e rispetto.

Ogni grappolo è seguito con cura, girato a mano, controllato uno ad uno:
un gesto antico, fatto di attenzione, esperienza e sapere tramandato.

È in questo lento appassimento che nasce Angelina, il nostro Passito di Sagrantino DOCG.
Un vino che racconta la terra, il lavoro quotidiano e l’anima di chi lo custodisce.
