One of the oldest wineries in Montepulciano. We produce a "Nobile" that is refined in rare oak barrels, in a cellar excavated in the rock of Montepulciano, from which we take the energy for our unforgettable wine. L'AZIENDA:
Il centro di vinificazione si trova in prossimità dei vigneti perchè le operazioni di raccolta e lavorazione delle uve si possano svolgere in modo rapido e funzionale. Uffici e affinamento in botti piccole e bottiglia sono distaccati rispetto al centro di vinificazione in una posizione più limitrofa alle più importanti vie di comunicazione. CANTINA STORICA:
La principale cantina di affinamento in legno è invece situata nel centro storico di Montepulciano. Una visita alle cantine di Talosa riporta indietro nel tempo fino al 1500, epoca cui esse risalgono. Le gallerie, intermente costruite a mattoni, si alternano in susseguirsi di volte e nicchie dove trovano posto le botti. Un ambiente a dir poco suggestivo che costringe il visitatore ad un atteggiamento di rispetto e quasi riverenza per la forza che la storia trasmette attraverso queste mura. Lo stesso rispetto e la stessa riverenza che l'azienda mette nel coltivare i vigneti e nel produrre i vini. Come da tradizione, la cantina storica ospita grandi botti di rovere nelle quali matura Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Il vino contenuto all’interno delle botti è pari a 600 hl. Le botti più vecchie di capacità 115hl, hanno circa 40 anni di età e grazie ad esse è stata ottenuta la prima bottiglia di Vino Nobile dell’azienda nel 1972. La temperatura e l’umidità della cantina sono costanti tutto l’anno e naturali; 14°C di temperatura e 60-70% di umidità relativa.
