People will always have opinions. Some will encourage you. Others will criticise you. Neither should become the foundation of your identity.

Sir Anthony Hopkins is widely credited with saying:

The Bible offers a complementary perspective.

It teaches us to seek God's approval above human approval (Galatians 1:10), to avoid being consumed by what others say (Ecclesiastes 7:21), and to remain humble enough to receive wise counsel (Proverbs 12:15).

Freedom comes from living according to your values and your calling, rather than the changing opinions of others.

Tara Bosch founded SmartSweets from her kitchen table after dropping out of college and sold a majority stake four years later for $360 million. Her next company started with a simpler frustration: eating chips with her four-year-old daughter Willa and realizing every bag was the same — chips that tasted bad or chips that made you feel bad.

Rather than license manufacturing, Tara self-funded over $20 million to build a vertically integrated Snacktory with proprietary production systems, built in under three months while simultaneously developing a consumer brand and raising Willa as a single mom. Snackish rebuilds the chip from the ground up: gut-happy fiber, potato-powered protein and avocado oil — an everyday chip designed to make people feel good, not just okay about it.

The brand is launching nationally across major North American retailers in June, with thousands of doors planned before the official launch date.

Her advice: don't build to participate in a category. Build to change consumer behavior entirely — because no amount of marketing saves a mediocre product long term.
