🌟 Exciting News for Oxford, North Canterbury! 🌟

At Waimak Patrols & Security Services, we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes to bring our trusted patrol service to Oxford, and we’re excited to finally share our plans!

We’re committed to starting with a mini patrol, operating for 4 hours each night, with random start times between 9 PM and midnight. During this time, a dedicated patrol guard will remain exclusively in the Oxford area, providing a strong and visible presence during critical after-hours.

Here’s how we plan to get the patrol up and running:

1️⃣ Secure Mobile Patrol Work: The funding required for this project will come from businesses signing up for mobile patrol services. These patrols can include checking your buildings, premises, yards, and even local farms, ensuring they’re secure after hours and acting as a visible deterrent to potential threats. We’ll tailor our patrols to your specific needs, and these services will be offered at reduced rates to make them accessible for Oxford businesses and property owners.

2️⃣ Commitment to Funding the Service: We’re committing 20% of all new mobile patrol contracts signed from October 1st, 2024, onwards to fund this project. This means that even if your business is outside Oxford, you can contribute to building a safer community in Oxford while enjoying top-tier security services for your own business or property.

3️⃣ Launch the Mini Patrol: Once we secure enough mobile patrol work, we’ll begin operating 4-hour patrols, ensuring the Oxford area and nearby rural communities receive consistent and reliable after-hours coverage.

4️⃣ Grow Over Time: As the service becomes established and additional support is secured, we’ll work to expand the hours of operation, increasing the patrol presence and enhancing safety across the wider area.

We’ve already invested significant time and resources into developing this initiative because we believe in its importance for Oxford. Now, we’re asking for your help to take the final steps and bring it to life.

I’ll be in Oxford mid-January and mid-February to meet with businesses that have registered their interest in supporting this initiative. The exact dates will be confirmed closer to the time, so if you’re interested, please reach out to us to register now!

We aim to launch in March 2025, but this depends on securing enough mobile patrol work. Together, we can protect what matters—for your business, property, and community.

Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM
Friday, Saturday: 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM (40 hours/week)
💰 Hourly Rate: $27.80 (Living Wage)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Friday 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Job Type: Part-Time

About Us: Waimak Patrols & Security Services is a leading security provider in the Waimakariri District, dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our community. We offer tailored security solutions, including mobile patrols, alarm response, and camera monitoring. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dedicated Mobile Patrol Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular mobile patrols across designated areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
Respond promptly to alarm activations and other incidents.
Provide a visible security presence to reassure the community.
Complete detailed incident reports and log patrol activities.
Communicate effectively with the control room and other team members.

Qualifications:

Full New Zealand driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Security experience preferred, but not essential—training will be provided.
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Must be physically fit and able to work night shifts.

We also just ran it through Big Dave’s Car Wash in Rangiora, and it came out sparkling clean.

I’m thrilled to announce that Leigh, our new Operations Assistant, has completed three weeks of training and is now stepping up to handle all the day-to-day tasks, including your phone calls! 📞✨
