Just occasionally I'm able to find a real piece of history - like this Burmese bowl

Presented to an officer and his wife by the 39th Garhwal Rifles- a battalion set up in 1898

The deep repousse worked figures are so crisp - all the details of the vaces are there.

This is just one of the many pieces that will be on display at our Exhibition at the Tanglin Club, Singapore opening this Friday - do drop by if you can

Here’s a piece that holds greater value in scrap than the price I'm offering it for...

An intriguing Art Nouveau serving plate crafted from English silver.

Created by the silversmith Charles Dimier, it features a cluster of three circular dishes adorned with delicate blossoms (likely intended to represent lily of the valley) and decorative ribbons.

Could it have been a custom order?

It would be such a pity if this ends up as scrap...

Here is another piece - crafted by the world famous American silversmith Goreham.

It dates from 1899 when it was specially commissioned to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary. The jug still retains some of the gilding.

The chased flowers curve around the elegant body of the jug and the handle and rim of the jug and have been worked with such fine detail

Worth more as scrap... Oh dear!!
