The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine held a productive meeting with Vitalii Zaichenko, Chairman of the Management Board and the leadership of NPC “Ukrenergo” to discuss the current state of the power system, preparations for the 2026-2027 heating season, and key challenges facing the energy sector.

The discussion also covered Ukrenergo’s vision regarding electricity transmission and dispatching tariffs for 2026, issues related to grid connection, development of renewable energy and energy storage projects, long-term ancillary services auctions, as well as settlement of debts on the balancing market and under the “green” tariff mechanism. Special attention was given to integrating new-generation capacities, including renewable energy projects and battery energy storage systems, and to the role of business in strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience and recovery.

We are grateful to the NPC “Ukrenergo” team for a substantive discussion and for all their efforts to ensure the stability of the power system under extremely challenging conditions.

Back Home, Moving Forward: Veterans’ Reintegration Insights – our conversation series within AmCham’s Human Capital Committee continues, bringing together business leaders, experts, and veterans to share practical approaches to reintegration and inclusive employment.

The sixth session focused on reintegration in its most literal and physical dimension – restoring mobility, independence, and returning to active life through advanced prosthetics and rehabilitation solutions. This time, we were hosted by the team of Medical Center Orthotics & Prosthetics - Ukraine (MCOP), and we are sincerely grateful for their hospitality and openness in welcoming us to their office. Being on-site added an important practical layer to the discussion, allowing participants to better understand the daily reality and impact of this work.

Massive thank you to our speakers from MCOP Ukraine: CEO Andrii Petruk, Vladyslav Kurilov, veteran, administrator, and Anatolii Kirda, veteran, chief technician.

The discussion highlighted how prosthetics and rehabilitation services are not only about medical support, but also about restoring autonomy, dignity, and long-term opportunities for veterans to fully reintegrate into civilian and professional life. Participants also reflected on the importance of cross-sector cooperation between business, healthcare providers, and civil society to scale impact and ensure accessible solutions for those who need them most.

More conversations in this series are coming soon.

What has genuinely changed for capital in Ukraine ‒ and what still stands in the way?

AmCham Ukraine President Andy Hunder moderated the panel “Ukraine 2026: What Has Changed for Capital?” at the II Ukraine Financing Forum organized by AmCham member company Sayenko Kharenko.

The conversation brought together top voices across IFIs, advisory, investment promotion, and private capital:

▪️ Alejandro Alvarez de la Campa, Country Manager Ukraine, IFC - International Finance Corporation
▪️ Oleksandr Kravchenko, Managing Partner Ukraine, McKinsey
▪️ Maryna Khlystun, Executive Director, Ukraine Invest
▪️ Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, Country Manager, NEQSOL Holding Ukraine

The discussion was honest, direct, and long overdue ‒ not only honoring what has been achieved since 2022, but naming what still stands between Ukraine and investment at the scale the country needs.

Thank you to the Sayenko Kharenko team for bringing this room together.

Ukraine feeds the world – even in wartime.
AmCham Ukraine President Andy Hunder joined the celebration of Pioneer's 100th anniversary – the flagship seed brand of Corteva Agriscience.

A powerful reminder of what resilience looks like in agriculture:
• 1.7 million hectares sown with Pioneer seeds in Ukraine in 2025
• $56M+ invested in a seeds production facility in Poltava region
• 500+ employees in Ukraine, 20,000+ worldwide
Science. Innovation. Partnership. That's how Ukraine continues to feed the world.

A big thank you to Oleksandr Dmytriev and the entire Corteva Agriscience team for bold leadership that never stops.
