The night before my latest photo shoot, my daughter asked me a question I wasn't ready for.
"Mommy, why are my brother and I in the photo shoot tomorrow?"
I gave her the easy answer. I pulled up old photos. I walked her through the history of the business, the headshots over the years, the family photos as everything grew and shifted.
And when it was done, I could tell she wasn't satisfied.
I had answered it for her, but not in a way that she completely understood.
The next morning I corrected myself.
I told her: "You and your brother are in these photos because you are the reason the business exists. If you weren't here, it would have never been started. This business lets me be with you more and it means so much to our family. And I never want to do a photo shoot without you in it, because you are the most meaningful part of all of it."
She smiled. She got it. And when we stepped in front of the camera, she and her brother both showed up with a pride I wasn't expecting.
That pink blazer she picked out herself.
That little boy in the outfit I packed the night before.
Both of them completely at home in a moment that was, in every way, theirs too.
Here's a behind-the-scenes photo from that day, captured by Jontell Vanessa Photography. I have wanted to work with her for years, and when the opportunity came, I said yes without hesitation. I cannot wait to see the photos when they're ready.
To everyone who has been on this journey, thank you. For supporting me, my family, and a business that was built so I could be present for the people who matter most while helping women across the globe show up in their marketing, stand out in their industries, and get business done.
This is what More Meaningful Marketing® and More Than a Marketer with Tiffany Lewis mean to me. All of it.
Not pictured: my husband, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes that day. Double-checking everything, packing what we needed, getting the kids ready, and documenting the whole thing so nothing got missed. The shoot wouldn't have come together the way it did without him.
