Sometimes, it helps to start with a different question: What problems do you care about solving?

SparkPath Challenge Cards help students identify real-world challenges that matter to them, giving them a new way to think about careers beyond simply choosing a job title.

When we combine that insight with what they learn about their natural strengths through the Highlands Ability Battery, students begin to see career possibilities with greater clarity and intention.

When every college and career question gets an “I don’t know,” it may be time to approach the conversation a little differently.

The True Compass Student Discovery Program helps students better understand their natural abilities, interests, personality and values—and how those pieces can point toward college majors and career paths worth exploring.

The goal is to give students more clarity, confidence and direction for the decisions ahead.

Andover High School, and Andover Central High School Jaguars families - join me Monday September 28th to take the assessment in person and save $100!

If that date doesn't work, students can complete the aptitude assessment from home.

Are you having career conversations with your teenager?
You know how they go.
"What are you thinking about majoring in?"
"I don't know."
"What careers sound interesting?"
"I'm not sure."
"Where do you want to go to college?"
"...no idea."

And just like that, a conversation that was supposed to be helpful turns stressful for everyone at the table.

Here's what I remind parents all the time: your teenager doesn't have to know exactly what they want to do yet. What they need is a better starting point, something real to build those decisions around, instead of just guessing.

That's the whole idea behind the True Compass Student Discovery Program. We look at a student's natural aptitudes, interests, personality, values, and career/lifestyle preferences, then put those pieces together to point toward career fields and majors worth exploring - and just as important, help them understand why those fit.

I'm not trying to hand anyone a verdict on who they should be. I'm trying to give families better information and better questions, so the conversation actually goes somewhere.

This fall, students from participating schools can attend the assessment date at their school (or choose to take the assessment at home):

Andover High School - September 28, 9:00–12:00 (open to AHS and Andover Central High School Jaguars students)

Trinity Academy - October 29, 9:00–12:00

And students from any school can save $50 on the Student Discovery Program this fall with code FALL50 and complete the assessment at home.

If your teenager's answer is "I have no idea," "I like too many things," or even "I think I know, but I'm not sure" — this is a good place to start.

Andover High School and Andover Central High School Jaguars - your in person testing date is September 28th. Register today and choose to take the test at school or at home.

Trinity Academy students - you have the option of taking the assessment at school on October 29th or at home.

ALL other students are able to register and save $50 using the code FALL50 at checkout. You'll take the assessment at home at your own pace.

No matter how you test, each participant will schedule an individual meeting to review their results and discuss their best-fit careers.
