There are many choices for vibrant senior living, including Continuing Care at Home programs which help people remain in their home as they age. The demand for such options is growing, as reported this week by The New York Times.

Our Givens Choice program and two of our members are prominently featured in the article. “Givens provides options for seniors, so they have choices in how to best live their own authentic lives,” says Kevin Schwab, CEO of Givens Communities. “Givens Choice is part of our commitment to helping seniors live with autonomy and independence. We are proud to be recognized for that leadership in the article.”

What a wonderful evening of music and community!

Givens Communities was proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of the Asheville Symphony's 2026 Symphony in the Park, welcoming more than 10,000 attendees to Pack Square Park for a free concert celebrating the power of the arts.

Residents from Givens Estates, Givens Highland Farms, and Givens Ge**er Park filled VIP tables near the stage, enjoying an unforgettable night of music, fellowship, and connection.

From Broadway favorites and film scores to classical masterpieces, the concert showcased how music brings people together across generations!

We're honored to support organizations like the Asheville Symphony that strengthen our community and make the arts accessible to all.

Givens Communities is proud to sponsor Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM), an organization that has served Western North Carolina for more than 50 years through compassionate outreach, crisis support, and long-term transformation.

Supported by more than 300 churches of all denominations and nearly 6,000 trained volunteers, ABCCM provides assistance to those in need while addressing the root causes of poverty through seven ministries, including Transformation Village.

Our partnership with ABCCM extends well beyond sponsorship. Residents at both Givens Estates and Givens Highland Farms actively support ABCCM through volunteer initiatives and service projects that make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and children rebuilding their futures.

What started with a few oversized zucchinis from the Givens Aldersgate Community Garden has blossomed into a beloved tradition of giving.

Givens Aldersgate resident Catie Webb transforms donated garden produce into homemade breads that bring neighbors together and support meaningful causes across campus.

From zucchini and lemon poppyseed breads to her fan-favorite cheddar garlic b**r bread, every loaf is baked with care, generosity, and community spirit.

This year, proceeds from her breads will support the Longevity and Brain Health Program and the Staff Appreciation Fund, helping make a difference for residents and team members alike.

Community spirit and celebration filled the streets of Uptown Charlotte this weekend!

Residents and team members from Givens Aldersgate were proud to take part in the 2026 Charlotte Pride Parade, continuing a meaningful tradition of celebrating love, belonging, and inclusion.

Riding on a Pride-decorated bus and walking through Uptown Charlotte with the Givens Aldersgate banner, they joined an estimated 250,000 attendees who gathered over the two-day festival to honor and support the LGBTQ+ community.

As a proud sponsor of Charlotte Pride, Givens Communities is honored to stand alongside our residents, team members, families, and neighbors in creating welcoming communities where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to be their authentic self.
