EATS Broker just wrapped up an incredible week in Minneapolis at the 2026 IBBA (International Business Brokers Association) Conference, and to say I’m fired up would be an understatement.

This event truly is the Super Bowl for our industry. It brings together the absolute best brokers from around the globe to sharpen their skills, share insights, and elevate the profession.

But walking away from this year’s conference hits a little differently. I’m incredibly honored and humbled to share a few milestones:

A huge congratulations to the new owners of the iconic Bull and Bear in Houston, Texas! And a special, well-deserved congratulations to the sellers on their retirement after 20 amazing years in business.
This deal is another example of what’s happening all across the restaurant industry right now — Baby Boomer restaurant owners are exiting the business after decades of ownership, and a new generation of buyers are stepping in.

This sale is a perfect example of what many call the “Silver Tsunami”—the generation of hardworking baby boomers who are now ready to retire, move on, and step away from the market.
