Is it just me…
or are all the “AI isn’t delivering ROI” headlines coming from enterprises?

Because I’m sitting here thinking—
I’ve never been more productive.

And I don’t mean marginally.

As entrepreneurs, we’re doing something very different—and specifically for my team m, we are

- Using AI daily, not theoretically (ChatGPT, Manus, Granola, Zoom, Claude…I could keep going)
- Building our own workflows, agents, apps, and websites, images, videos in real time (I mean I literally made www.getdisruptive.ai, www.seemaalexander.con and BusinessCon.Ai vibe coding on Lovable.)
- Having AI act like small, fast, AI-powered teams (legal, opps, strategy, marketing, etc)
- Collapsing the time between idea to ex*****on to client work
- Innovating like crazy. Wait for some of announcements Disruptive AI - Making Businesses Intelligent is about to make.

No constraints on tech. No committee. No rollout. No waiting.

Just… doing.

And I’m not waiting on anyone to tell me how to use it.

That’s the difference.

Most companies are trying to turn AI on.
Entrepreneurs are using it to change how they work.

They’re:
→ delegating it
→ layering it into old systems
→ hoping tools create results

We’re:
→ building workflows in real time
→ testing, shipping, learning daily
→ using AI as leverage across everything we do

Same AI.
Different approach.
Different results.

No committee.
No rollout.
No waiting.

Just… building.

That’s where the ROI is showing up right now:

Speed.
Output.
Decision-making.
Leverage.

AI isn’t failing.
The approach is.

Curious—what’s one thing you’ve actually built with AI recently?

Excited (and honestly grateful) to launch my speaker site: www.seemaalexander.com

Over the past 2 years, I’ve done 100+ talks on AI and the future of business and why AI is bigger than the advent of the Internet—keynotes, workshops, panels, podcasts.

And if you can’t tell…
I’m passionate about this. 🙏🏽

Not because it’s a trend—but because I’ve seen this kind of shift before—and I know what happens to businesses that don’t adapt in time.

But I’m not just talking about it.

Through Disruptive AI, we’re actively building, advising, and venturing with companies—building what this actually looks like inside real businesses and industry.

This isn’t a tech shift.
It’s a complete rewiring of how companies operate.

If you or anyone you know is looking to bring this conversation to your team—in a dynamic, strategic and practical way—I’d love to chat!

Yesterday, Disruptive AI (my company) partnered with Rapid Labz (CEO ) to host a full-day AI Summit for the incredible .nonprofit community.

Their community brought together leaders from Stanley Black & Decker, major consulting firms, founders, entrepreneurs, and college students—all trying to answer the same question: what does AI actually mean for my business?

We kicked things off with my keynote on why AI is bigger than the Internet, because this isn’t a tool shift, it’s a structural shift in how businesses operate and compete.

From there, we got practical and broke down a handful of game-changing AI tools leaders should actually be using, without the fluff or overwhelm, and then we built.

Rapid Labz led a live vibe coding session where the shift happened in real time and people went from learning to creating. That’s the gap we’re closing.

Too many leaders are still stuck in AI curiosity and our work is about moving them into real AI fluency—strategic, practical, and tactical.

At Disruptive AI, we have three pillar: AI education and fluency, AI product development and commercialization & venture.

These summits are where baseline fluency starts, but for those ready to go further, we’re building deeper pathways through our upcoming CEO School—and in October, AI BusinessCon is where it accelerates.

If this was about understanding the shift, October is about taking advantage of it.

If you want to bring this kind of AI summit or training to your organization, DM me “AI” or reach out directly.

Spent the day at “We The People: Reclaiming Accountability in the Age of Intelligent Systems” hosted by The Digital Economist alongside the IMF and World Bank meetings this week.

First time experiencing the organization—and the community they’ve built over the last six years.

Well done to Navroop K. Sahdev and José Luiz Carvalho for creating a global platform focused on human-centered perspectives across technology, economics, and AI.

As someone building, advising, and operating in this space, a lot of the themes were familiar—policy, security, energy, adoption.

But what stood out was the room.

Global operators, policymakers, and practitioners—many just back from World Economic Forum Annual Meeting—sharing real-time perspectives on how these shifts are actually playing out.

One stat that stayed with me, shared by Sandy Carter:

Only 1.7% of the world has used AI beyond prompting.

It puts things in perspective.

Because when you’re in it every day, it feels like everything is moving fast.
But zoom out—and it’s clear this isn’t just about timing. It’s about fluency.

I’ve said this before: a small percentage of leaders truly understand the structural shift AI will have on business. Most are still viewing it through a productivity lens.

That gap is where the opportunity is.

It’s also why we’re building AI BusinessCon—to help leaders understand the shift, not just experiment with tools.

Also appreciated the conversation on the voice economy—especially Mellini Monique’s perspective on voice as an economic asset as models are trained on our data. It reframes ownership in a meaningful way.

For me, this is part of the responsibility—being in rooms like this, staying close to the conversation, and bringing that insight back into how we build and guide.

Because AI isn’t just being built. It’s being shaped.

Great to connect with so many leaders in one room.

Thank you for the invite, Nina Archie.

Q1 in a few frames.

Keynotes, panels, podcasts…
but honestly, the most important moments weren’t on stage.

They were the conversations before and after.

The questions people asked quietly.
The uncertainty. The curiosity. The realization that something bigger is happening.

There’s a responsibility that comes with being early to something like this.

I feel that.

Grateful for the rooms.
Even more aware of where this is all going.

A lot going on behind the scenes. More to come.

I get business advice from , , Steve Jobs, , and .

Not directly.

I trained AI on how they think.

Most people use AI for answers.
I use it to challenge my decisions.

That’s the difference.

If you’re building right now, you should be doing this.

Comment “ADVISOR” if you want me to break down how I built it.

You’re invited.

CodeHer Rising is hosting an AI immersive training for professional, leaders and students — and Disruptive AI is powering the experience.

April 18 — full-day in-person immersive AI training.

Not just to understand AI.

To use it.
Play with it.
Innovate with it.
Build efficiency with it.
Lead with it.

I’ll break down what’s really happening — in a way that actually makes sense.

Then we go hands-on:
– Tools you can use immediately
– Real workflows
– A live vibe coding session with the incomparable Addy de la Cruz

Most of what we do is with CEOs and leadership teams.

For this, we’re bringing that perspective into the room.

If you’re ready to actually work with AI — this is it.

Link for more details and registration is in the bio.

Laptops needed. No technical or coding skills needed.

Everyone’s getting excited about using AI to write emails faster.

Cool.
You saved 20 minutes.
(And yes—that adds up.)

But that’s not the shift.

Meanwhile—

A small group of operators are building systems where the work doesn’t need them at all.

Their AI isn’t just drafting.

It’s:

Analyzing
Flagging issues
Looping in the right people
Generating reports
Sending updates
Triggering next steps

End to end.

No handoffs.
No bottlenecks.
No delays.

That’s not productivity.

That’s a different business model.

Most people are stacking tools.
A few are rewiring how their company actually runs.

That gap?

That’s where the next winners come from.

And right now—maybe 5% of leaders see it.
The rest are still playing assistant.

Watch the reel.

Then join the waitlist → businesscon.ai

We’re building something different.

Funny how I’m comfortable speaking on stages… but seeing yourself on screen hits a little differently :)

Last night was really special.

Being part of Voices of Impact—a documentary short film produced by and highlighting four women in the DMV and their stories of leadership, courage, and community for Women’s History Month—was something I don’t think I fully processed in real time.

For me, getting to participate in a film like this and sit alongside incredible women with unique passions and deep convictions…it just meant a lot.

Amber Hewitt (Chief Equity Officer for DC),
Lisa Dorsey (CEO, Interplan), and
Marcia Maxwell (CEO, MBM Swim)…

all doing such important work in very different ways.

And me… sharing my personal story and how I’ve been thinking about AI—and where all of this is going for business… and humanity.

The post-film panel was honestly a bonus—real convos, real perspectives on leadership, impact, and life.

Grateful for the room, the energy, and the people behind it.

Thank you again for your vision and for bringing this to life—and invitation to be part of it. Excited to support you and as you continue building all things.

Still taking it all in. 🤍
