In our latest podcast episode, Tucker shared a perspective that really stood out.

He didn’t learn how to connect with crowds by starting on a platform, he learned it in hospitality, one guest at a time. Reading people, adjusting to their demeanor, and understanding when someone needed energy, patience, empathy, or simply space.

That same ability to connect one-on-one now allows him to connect with larger audiences.

Before you can lead a room, you have to learn how to connect with the person in front of you.

“Four base hits, sometimes, will actually bring in more RBIs than the grand slam.” ⚾️

When presenting, it’s easy to put pressure on ourselves to create the big moment. But sometimes, the greatest impact comes from simply being present, authentic, and connected to the audience in front of us.

Those consistent “base hits” often go further than swinging for the fences every time. 🔥

We talk every day, but how often are we actually listening?👂

Not to respond. Not to make our next point. But to truly understand.

The quality of our relationships is shaped by how we show up in conversations, whether with clients, coworkers, or the people we lead.
What would change if we listened with the intent to understand? 💭

One key takeaway from Coach Trammell’s advice to Kory: “Go catch the ball.” ⚾️ Simple, direct, and a reminder that we often overcomplicate ex*****on.

New environments and bigger stages can feel intimidating, but your skill set doesn’t disappear just because the audience changes.

Growth means stepping into unfamiliar spaces, but confidence is built through preparation. Stay disciplined,💪 keep refining your craft, and put in the work consistently so when the moment comes, you’re ready to be present and enjoy it.
