After Patti survived her first day with us (arguably one of our toughest jobs ever), I knew she’d be in it for the long haul.

Patti has shear grit and a heart of gold. She’s always bringing the positive energy and finding the humor in things - even on the most difficult jobs!

Almost makes me want to start a Montessori homeschool program…. Kidding, kidding! At this point I’m counting down the days til back to school (but simultaneously clinging on to the last bits of summer with a death grip). Such mixed emotions this time of year!

One thing we can all agree on? This playroom/classroom/art room is a beauty and she’s thriving with structure, simplicity and well-labeled systems 👏

Sure you can organize under your kitchen sink yourself, but do you know what the most important step is?

Measuring!

The depth, width and any surprises you’re going to encounter because of the plumbing will all affect which bins or turntables will maximize the space the best - so proceed with caution!

And of course, paring down the items under the sink to only what you really need for cleaning the kitchen and dishwashing helps keep this space focused and clutter-free.

Nobody warns you about this part of a kitchen renovation…

The construction is finally finished, the new kitchen is beautiful, and then you realize you have to unpack ALL of your stuff. 😅

We unpacked every box, sorted through everything, and thoughtfully organized the kitchen based on how the family uses it. We added custom-fit drawer organizers, designated zones, labels, and carefully planned storage so every detail of this beautiful kitchen works just as well as it looks.

Now the boxes are gone, everything has a home, and this family can finally enjoy their newly renovated kitchen!

Planning a kitchen renovation? Believe me from my own experience renovating (💸): adding the line item of having a professional organizer unpack and organize is almost a negligible expense that’s 100% worth adding for your sanity! 😉

I can’t believe it was over a year ago that we were helping one of our dearest clients move her life down to her lake house while she embarked on the start of a move/renovation for her primary residence. We had the absolute best time with her and she literally treated us like family (note the charcuterie board) while we unpacked and organized her lake house.

Since then, we’ve also had the honor of helping her unpack and organize her primary residence. Looking back now, as I found these photos on my camera roll, I’m feeling sentimental. When I started out six years ago, I never ever imagined I’d get to be so close to clients and their families during these big life moments.

Feeling grateful and happy - especially as we are starting a month of multiple moves and whole home projects! Moving is stressful, but we’re here for you 🩷

Calm your (most used) spaces, calm your mind.

Mudroom closet, utility closet, laundry room - these are the spaces you will feel the benefit in every day - if you take the time to declutter and organize them.

Start with ruthless decluttering and really asking yourself what needs to live in that space - not just because it always has. But why? Where is it used? Where would you look for it? Is it even adding value?

Once things are pared down, it’s so much easier to organize!
