Want true black ink on your printed graphics? ⚫

Many designers assume 100% K black will produce the darkest possible result. But on large printed areas, standard black can sometimes appear flat or gray.

"Rich Black" combines black ink with additional CMYK values to create a deeper, more saturated black that's ideal for backgrounds, large graphics, and bold design elements.

A simple rule of thumb:
✅ Large fills and bold graphics - Use a Rich Black
✅ Small text and fine details - Use 100% K Black

It's a small file setup choice that can make a big difference in the final print.

This afternoon, we hosted our annual Mid-Year Fundraiser for Reins of Hope! Alongside raffle prizes and a team lunch, we also took some time to celebrate several employee anniversaries. 🥳

This week, we welcomed print specialist James Hughes from Mimaki USA, Inc. to our HQ for hands-on training across all three of our Mimaki printers. From workflow optimization and design-to-print efficiency to print/cut techniques and a few insider “secret hacks,” our team walked away smarter, faster, and ready to maximize every project.

Our production team is excited to keep pushing these machines, and our sales team is ready to help customers take advantage of everything they can do. 🔥🖨

Great athletic spaces are built to inspire. 💪🏻
Designs Unlimited was tasked with transforming the football facilities at Coffeyville CC — designing an immersive branded environment that would reflect the culture, energy and identity of the program.

To bring it all to life, they partnered with us for the production of the large-format printed elements of this project, including bold wall murals and custom cut acrylic lettering. By working with a dedicated production partner, their team was able to stay focused on the creative direction, project coordination, and installation process. ✅

While MaKenna is new to the sign and graphics industry, her curiosity, eagerness to learn, and excitement for taking care of customers has already made an impression on our team. We recently spent a day leveling up with a 3M training led by Dan Stretch🤓

With new team members on board and longtime sales staff looking to sharpen their knowledge, this was the perfect opportunity to dive deeper into the details that make a difference in real-world applications.

We covered everything from paper vs. synthetic liners, adhesive colors, MicroComply technology, and removable vs. permanent adhesives to cast vs. calendared films, shrinkage, conformability, v***r barriers, wall test kits, edge seal tape, plus 3M DI-NOC and Fasara architectural finishes.

Safe to say we all walked away a little smarter! 📚
