A cross-training roster is not capability.
It is only a list: until backup agents can handle real customer demand at the same quality as primary-skilled agents.
At scale, verify five things: cross-trained proficiency under realistic scenarios, quality parity versus the primary skill, the skill-decay curve and refresh cadence, successful cross-skill coverage, and backup utilization when demand shifts.
The more you know: skills decay when they are certified once and rarely used. A backup channel that looks ready on paper can create longer handle times, repeat contacts, escalations, and inconsistent CX when activated.
How we help: Dunamis helps operators turn cross-training into a measurable capability. Test agents with production-like interactions. Compare quality, resolution, routing accuracy, and adherence against the primary skill. Track performance over time. Refresh knowledge before the parity gap becomes a service-level problem.
The goal is not more names on a roster. It is dependable capacity that retains its edge.
Future-proof your coverage by measuring what backup agents can deliver: not what they were once taught. 🟠🔵
