Thinking about becoming an Uber driver? Know that your auto insurance has an exclusion for "public livery" opertions. That means that if you charge for rides you have no insurance. With Christmas, Hannukah and other holidays approaching we want to remind you of two opportunities. First think about the presents you receive and whether you have them properly insured. Call and ask if you are not sure. This is especially true for jewelry, furs, artwork or other valuable items. Second a life insurance policy is a great gift for a child or grandchild. You can buy $100,000 policy for really cheap on a young person. And not only does the premium stay the same forever (if you buy Permanent Life Insurance) but the cash value grows every year without affecting your taxes and the policy can double as a really valuable savings tool.
