We’re excited to share that the impact of Reduce TN Crashes is continuing to grow beyond Tennessee. The program has officially expanded into Kentucky with the launch of Reduce KY Crashes, a new platform dedicated to promoting safe driving habits and reducing roadway incidents among young drivers.

At Tennessee Tech's iCube, our team designed and developed this website. A special shoutout goes to intern Jackson Young for his incredible work on the project. Jackson helped redesign the site’s front end experience, developed relationship-based dynamic content, and created multi-site relational data functionality to support a broader nationwide competitive environment. He also implemented an automated process for leaderboard updates and resolved a website self-DDoSing issue by adding new countermeasures to improve site stability and performance.

Projects like this showcase the impact of hands-on student experience in web development, design, and problem solving. We’re proud to support initiatives that combine technology, education, and public safety, and we’re excited to see Reduce KY Crashes make a positive impact across Kentucky.

One of the most rewarding parts of iCube is seeing students take what they’re learning in the classroom and apply it to real-world experience. We’re proud of the work that Lauren Jeanette has done on our social media team and the insight she’s gained along the way.

As a Marketing and Business Management double major with the College of Business at Tennessee Tech University, Lauren shared that her role at iCube gave her the opportunity to “take what I’ve learned in my marketing courses and apply it to a real professional marketing campaign.”
Through her experience, she learned how strategy and analytics work together to shape effective content. “Each month, the team and I do an in-depth audit of our Instagram, tracking metrics such as engagement rate, reach, and follower count. Using this data, we are able to tailor our content towards what performs best with our particular demographic. My role at iCube has been a vital contributor to my education and professional development. I will be able to leverage the insights I have learned here in my future marketing career, and I am incredibly grateful for that.”

We’re thankful for Lauren’s creativity, strategic mindset, and dedication to the team, and we can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes in her future career!

Our iCube team has been busy out in the field and beyond, supporting safety and outreach efforts in meaningful ways.

Julie Brewer recently led a Child Passenger Safety certification class in Pulaski, where 21 participants completed their training to become certified technicians. She also continued that work in Nashville at a car seat check event, helping families feel more confident about properly installing and using car seats.

At the same time, Hannah Willis and Amanda Rae Powell represented the FindHelpNowTN program at the Rx Summit, connecting with partners from across the country and learning more about ongoing efforts to address substance misuse and improve access to treatment resources.

We’re proud of the many ways our team shows up — from local communities to national conversations — to support safer, healthier outcomes.

On April 1, our partners across Tennessee came together for “Operation Hands Free,” a statewide distracted driving enforcement effort focused on keeping drivers attentive behind the wheel.

Law enforcement agencies in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Memphis worked alongside the Tennessee Highway Patrol to reinforce the importance of Tennessee’s Hands-Free Law and encourage safer driving habits across our communities.

Efforts like this highlight the power of collaboration in promoting safer roadways. By combining enforcement with education, we can continue building awareness and encouraging drivers to stay focused — because every safe choice behind the wheel helps protect lives.
