Normal results. Still no answer.

A normal test result answers a question. It doesn't answer every question.

When a patient has symptoms across multiple systems, years of normal or inconclusive results — whatever kind of testing was done — can start to feel like an answer in itself: we've tested everything, so there's nothing left to find.

You can ask whether symptoms might be connected.

A normal result doesn't mean your symptoms aren't real.

You don't have to know the name of a condition to ask whether genetics belongs in the conversation.

Bring the timeline, not just the diagnosis list.

Questions are not an inconvenience.

Sometimes it's not one clear symptom.

Where a family lives shouldn't determine how long they wait for answers.

A referral for a rural family means time away from work, meals away from home, missed school, childcare, another waitlist, another insurance hassle, and the nagging doubt that any of it will be worth it, because the last three trips didn’t give answers either.
