¡El carnaval ha estado ESPECTACULAR estas últimas dos noches!

Cuando las personas se unen, cuando rechazamos la negatividad y ponemos a nuestra comunidad por encima de la división, ¡el resultado es el ÉXITO!

¡No puedo esperar a esta noche! Muchos de nuestros amigos de diferentes partes de Nueva Jersey nos acompañarán para apoyar a los residentes de Dover, disfrutar del carnaval y unirnos como una sola comunidad.

Pero hay algo importante que debemos decir: la mayoría no puede permanecer en silencio mientras unas pocas voces negativas intentan crear miedo, división o dar la impresión de que todos comparten su pesimismo. ¡No es así!

Somos muchos los que creemos en Dover. Creemos en unir a nuestra gente. Creemos en apoyar a nuestras familias, nuestros negocios y los unos a los otros. ¡El optimismo también tiene voz, y tenemos que usarla!

El miedo nunca debe hablar más fuerte que la esperanza.
La división nunca debe ser más fuerte que la unidad.
La negatividad nunca debe definir a nuestra comunidad.

¡DOVER NOS PERTENECE A TODOS!

Así que acompáñanos esta noche. Trae a tu familia. Invita a tus amigos. Apoya a nuestra comunidad y sigamos demostrando lo que sucede cuando ¡DOVER SE UNE!

The carnival has been AMAZING these past two nights!

When people come together in unity, when negativity is rejected, and when community is placed above division, success is the result!

I can’t wait for tonight! Many of our friends from throughout New Jersey will be joining us to support our Dover residents, enjoy the carnival, and stand together as a community.

But here’s something important: the majority cannot remain silent while a few negative voices attempt to create fear, division, or the impression that everyone shares their pessimism. They don’t.

There are many of us who believe in Dover. We believe in bringing people together. We believe in supporting our families, our businesses, and one another. Optimism has a voice too, and we need to use it!

Fear should never be louder than hope.
Division should never be stronger than unity.
Negativity should never define our community.

Dover belongs to ALL of us!

So come out tonight. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Support our community and let’s continue showing what happens when DOVER COMES TOGETHER!

Ante todo, no hubo ningún “acuerdo a escondidas”. Esa afirmación es simplemente falsa.

Lo que ofreció el Alcalde fue algo claro y sencillo: Hagamos que el carnaval sea un éxito para Dover y, de los fondos recaudados, apartemos una parte para comprar artículos de primera necesidad y suministros para las familias de nuestra comunidad que se han visto afectadas negativamente por las acciones de ICE.

Eso es todo. No hubo ningún acuerdo secreto. No hubo ninguna agenda oculta. Fue simplemente una propuesta para ayudar a familias de nuestra comunidad que están atravesando momentos difíciles, proporcionándoles artículos básicos y necesarios.

El carnaval se trata de traer nuevamente algo positivo a Dover, algo que nuestra comunidad no había podido disfrutar en muchos años. Es una oportunidad para que nuestras familias salgan juntas, disfruten de las atracciones, la comida, los juegos y el entretenimiento, y simplemente pasen un buen momento.

Tenemos que dejar de promover el miedo y la división. No todo tiene que convertirse en un asunto político ni transformarse en algo negativo.

Salgamos con nuestras familias. Apoyemos a nuestra comunidad. Ayudemos a nuestros vecinos que están pasando por momentos difíciles. Y disfrutemos de algo positivo que está sucediendo aquí mismo, en Dover.

¡Este debe ser un momento de UNIDAD y APOYO, no de división y miedo!

Un solo Dover. Una sola comunidad. Vecinos ayudando a vecinos.

For clarity of the facts!

First and foremost, there was no “back deal.” That statement is simply false.

What the Mayor offered was straightforward: Let’s make the carnival a success for Dover, and from the proceeds raised, set aside funds to purchase necessities and supplies for local families who have been negatively affected by ICE activity.

That’s it. No secret deal. No hidden agenda. It was an offer to help hurting families in our community by providing basic necessities during a difficult time.

The carnival is about bringing something positive back to Dover—something our community has not enjoyed in many years. It’s an opportunity for families to come out together, enjoy the rides, food, games, and entertainment, and simply have a good time.

We need to stop the fear mongering and division. Not everything has to become political or be turned into something negative.

Let’s bring our families out. Let’s support our community. Let’s help neighbors who are hurting. And let’s enjoy something positive happening right here in Dover.

This should be a time of UNITY and SUPPORT, not division and fear.

¡Esto es mucho más que un carnaval, es nuestra comunidad uniéndose para ayudar a nuestra propia comunidad!

Trae a tu familia, invita a tus amigos y disfruta de las atracciones, la comida, los juegos y toda la diversión, mientras apoyamos una gran causa aquí mismo en Dover.

Como lo prometió nuestro Alcalde, una parte de las ganancias será destinada a la compra de útiles, suministros y artículos de primera necesidad para los niños y las familias de nuestra comunidad que necesitan una mano amiga.

¡Cuando Dover se une, Dover se fortalece! De eso se trata una verdadera comunidad: vecinos ayudando a vecinos, familias apoyando a familias y todos trabajando juntos como ¡UN SOLO DOVER!
