We are so grateful to Fallbrook Land Conservancy for partnering with us to put on this year’s 9/11 hike. 25 years after that tragic day and we still remember those that ran towards the dangers so that others could be safe.

“Every year, this hike gives us an opportunity to pause and remember the 343 firefighters and the thousands of others who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. As I took part in the memorial hike this year, I was especially mindful that it would be my last time participating as Fire Chief. I am grateful for the opportunity to have stood alongside our firefighters and our community to honor those we lost and to remember the courage, sacrifice, and commitment to service that September 11 represents. Their legacy continues to remind all of us why we do what we do.”

- Fire Chief Keith McReynolds

Today we remember the day the world stopped, the day we lost countless lives, the day people chose bravery over fear, the day that started lifelong battles with cancer as a result of that bravery. Today we remember the devastation that was September 11th, 2001.
