Many people assume entrepreneurship begins with a business plan. NSF I-Corps starts somewhere else: customer discovery.

NSF I-Corps participants learn how to interview potential users, test assumptions, and gather evidence before investing significant time and resources into an idea.

The workshop is open to students, researchers, faculty, and innovators. No startup idea or business background is required.

Every smoker knows the downside of smoker’s breath. University of Iowa student Jeremiah Daniels decided to chew his way toward a solution.

Daniels created Break Gum, a product designed to neutralize smoke odors and remove chemical buildup from the mouth using charcoal and bromelain. His entrepreneurial journey received a boost through IdeaStorm and Iowa JPEC.
